LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: According to reports, awkwardness might be in the air for Taylor Swift and her boyfriend Travis Kelce with rumors circulating of a falling out between the singer and her new BFF Brittany Mahomes, wife of Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes.
In recent months, Swift and Brittany were seen together at football games and restaurants, giving the impression that they were becoming friends. The latest claims, however, point to a cooling of their friendship.
Since Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes are close friends and teammates, this could place them in an awkward situation.

Swift and former women's soccer player Brittany seem to have a close bond since Swift started dating Kelce. Brittany appeared to even become part of Swift's inner group.
However, there are now rumors that "bad blood' is brewing between the two.
Unverified reports state that Brittany offended pop singer Swift by leaking personal information about their hangouts to the media, as per The Mirror.
According to a caller named Jake who called in during an episode of '98.5 The Sports Hub's Zolak & Bertrand' radio show, Swift was going to watch the Chiefs play the New England Patriots on Sunday, December 17, at Gillette Stadium in Massachusetts.
Caller Jake said, "One of the sources I have is saying she doesn’t want to be with Brittany Mahomes. I don’t know why."
The video was posted on celebrity gossip portal Deuxmoi along with a screenshot of a comment left by one of their followers in response to the query, "What are you guys talking about this week?"
"Rumour is Brittany Mahomes went to tabloids after hangouts with Tay – Tay is cooling it now," was the response to a question posted on December 12. Deuxmoi remarked at the time, "We have not heard that."
Close friends Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes may find things challenging
With the rumored falling out between Swift and Brittany, Travis and Patrick, who are close friends and coworkers, may find things challenging.
Swift turned 34 on a seemingly drama-free birthday celebration in Kansas City with Travis, Brittany, and Patrick. However, there could have been simmering tensions behind the scenes even then.
After being spotted having dinner with Selena Gomez, Blake Lively, and Gigi Hadid in September, Brittany appeared to have earned a spot in Swift's "squad" of friends.
They are rumored to have a secret greeting and have often been spotted hanging around at games.

They apparently hit it off when taking a shot together when they were at Kelce's party following the victory.
