BAFTAs Worst Dressed: Florence Pugh and Emma Stone among stars who fail to impress on red carpet
10 celebrities who did not dress to impress on the 2024 BAFTAs red carpet
The 2024 BAFTAs saw talents from across the world, wearing their best for the star-studded event. However, many A-listers committed fashion blunders and did not shine as bright on the February 18 red carpet at the Royal Festival Hall in London.
1. David Tennant
David Tennant was the host of the 77th British Academy Film Awards. But his sartorial choice did not compliment his vital role as he donned a loud green and gold suit.
2. Ayo Edebiri
Ayo Edebiri also reportedly did not make head turns on the BAFTA red carpet. The ‘Abbott Elementary’ actress was nominated for the BAFTA Rising Star Award but her custom Bottega Veneta peachy-orange dress that came with a creamy beige shawl did not leave a mark.
3. Naomi Campbell
Model Naomi Campbell graced the red carpet of the BAFTAs in a black Chanel Haute Couture gown featuring ruffles that did not help her much in making a fashion statement.
4. Emma Stone
Emma Stone was one of the nominees under the ‘Best Actress’ category at the BAFTAs and she ended up winning the award. However, her dress did not match her talent as she showed up in a peach-colored one-shoulder Louis Vuitton gown that came with a puff sleeve.
5. Andrew Scott
Andrew Scott’s ‘All Of Us Strangers’ was nominated for six awards at the 2024 BAFTAs, but failed to get one. Scott arrived on the BAFTA red carpet in a red suit that did not impress.
6. Florence Pugh
The ‘Oppenheimer’ actress Florence Pugh appeared for the BAFTAs in a black velvet gown by Harris Reed that did not compliment her beauty despite being a medieval-inspired look.
7. Colman Domingo
Colman Domingo was nominated in the ‘Best Actor’ category for ‘Rustin’. However, Cillian Murphy clinched it for ‘Oppenheimer’. Not just the award’s loss, but Domingo’s black suit, paired with a white shirt and playful bowed neck tie also disappointed his fans.
8. Bradley Cooper
Bradley Cooper was nominated in two categories at the BAFTAs — Best Leading Actor and Best Director for ‘Maestro’. But he did not win any and also failed to win his fans’ hearts in a double-breasted suit by Louis Vuitton.
9. Emma Corrin
‘The Crown’ star Emma Corrin’s bizarre Miu Miu outfit was bold but failed to impress. She wore a black crop top and bottom with striking black and blue tights, featuring two big bows on both sides.
10. Sophie Ellis-Bextor
The English singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor won people’s hearts by performing ‘Murder on the Dancefloor’ at the BAFTAs 2024. But her 60s style dressing, including Antonia Riva’s sheer black gown and bright purple eyeshadow, left much to be desired.
