Barron Trump’s private college life comes into focus as reports reveal romance with mystery woman
WASHINGTON, DC: Barron Trump, the youngest son of Donald and Melania Trump, has reportedly been dating a woman he met in college for more than a year.
The 20-year-old’s private life has drawn fresh attention following reports of the relationship and his transfer to New York University’s Washington, DC, campus in September 2026.
While little is known about the woman, Barron’s college years have offered a rare glimpse into the life of the president’s son away from the public eye.
Barron Trump’s reported relationship began in college
Multiple outlets have reported that Barron has been quietly dating a woman he met in college for more than a year.
However, her identity has not been made public, and it remains unclear whether the pair are still together following his move to Washington, DC.
Barron spent his first year at New York University’s Stern School of Business, based at the university’s Greenwich Village campus.
Rather than living in a college dorm, he reportedly commuted from Trump Tower in Manhattan.
His father previously spoke about Barron’s dating life in October 2024, when he appeared on the 'PBD' podcast.
Asked whether his son had a girlfriend, Trump said he was not sure Barron was “there yet.” “I don't think he's had a girlfriend yet,” he said at the time.
Barron Trump’s past dating rumors
Interest in Barron’s love life is not new. A TikTok user named Maddie previously claimed that Barron was her “first BF” when they attended high school together.
She shared a video featuring clips of the two together and claimed they had broken up after Barron moved to attend St Andrew’s School in Potomac, Maryland.
Barron has also been linked to other women, including Sarah Claire and model Klara Jones, who is reportedly two years older than him. However, details about these rumored relationships remain limited.
Inside Barron Trump’s life at NYU
Barron’s first year at NYU reportedly looked very different from the typical college experience.
Reports claimed that he was accompanied by security around the clock and used garages and secret entrances to enter and leave buildings.
Kaya Walker, the then-president of the NYU College Republicans, described Barron as an “oddity” in a 2025 interview.
“He goes to class, he goes home,” Walker said.
Other students reportedly invited Barron to join pickup basketball games. Although he appeared interested, he never confirmed any plans, according to the accounts.
In September 2026, Barron transferred to NYU’s Washington, DC, campus for at least one semester, reportedly to be closer to his parents.
Barron Trump impresses guests at Mar-a-Lago
Despite his reputation for keeping to himself, Barron reportedly made a strong impression at a dinner at Mar-a-Lago in 2025.
Entrepreneur Patrick Bet-David, Tom Ellsworth and actor and comedian Vincent Oshana later discussed the gathering on Bet-David’s podcast.
They recalled Barron entertaining guests with stories for around 90 minutes. “Barron run dinner with stories, entertainment, everything,” Bet-David said.
He added, “I've never seen Tom laugh this hard for an hour and a half.” Oshana was also impressed by Barron’s ability to hold the room’s attention, describing him as “witty, smart, hilarious.”
He recalled Barron discussing politics and saying, “You know, everybody's always going to fight. There's left. There's right.”
Oshana also praised Barron as having a “good head on his shoulders,” while others described him as “sharp, funny, sarcastic and tough.”
