Barry Keoghan calls Alyson Sandro 'an incredible mother' as he confirms breakup after 3 years of dating
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Barry Keoghan opened up about his breakup with longtime friend Alyson Sandro a year after after they welcomed their son, Brando together.
"She’s done a great job and she’s an incredible mother," the 'Dunkirk' star told GQ.

Why did Barry Keoghan and Alyson Sandro split?
The outlet noted that the 31-year-old has not shared any further information regarding his split from the orthodontist. Rumors of the couple's breakup initially surfaced in July 2023 as sources claimed Keoghan and Sandro had grown apart after three years of dating.
At the time, a source told The Sun that "they have grown apart over recent months, and things have finally come to a head."
The insider claimed that Keoghan’s "partying caused arguments” with Sandro. The source stated that following the success of his 2022 film 'The Banshees of Inisherin' their relationship had "suffered."
How did Barry Keoghan and Alyson Sandro meet?
Keoghan and Sandro first met in London at a bar in 2021. The now exes welcomed their baby boy in August 2022.
Their son who is named after movie star Marlon Brando was born while Keoghan was on the film set of 'Saltburn.'
"They gave me a day off. Good on them! Day off, and straight on to night shoots and night feedings — boom!" the actor recalled with a laugh.
In October 2022, Keoghan dedicated his BAFTA award to his son, Brando. "Brando. I just want this for my son as well, Brando. For my mother and also for the kids that are dreaming of something from the area that I came from. This is for you," he said in his acceptance speech.
The 'Saltburn' actor said "havin’ a baby boy and leadin’ a movie" kept him busy and described it as "the best time of [his] life."
Speaking about fatherhood, Keoghan said, "I can’t get the little boy off my mind. It’s beautiful. Y’know, it’s crazy, but when he looks at you, you feel like the most important person in the world. That’s the effect he has on me."
