Ben Affleck and Matt Damon 'getting tired' of their wives Jennifer Lopez and Luciana Barroso's feud
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Matt Damon and Ben Affleck desperately want their respective wives, Luciana Barroso and Jennifer Lopez, to get along after reports have emerged about their ongoing feud.
Sources close to the Hollywood stars have recently revealed with Star, as per OK! Magazine, that the wives of the two stars, who have been best friends since high school after growing up in Boston, don’t share a friendly bond.

The confidante recently shared with the outlet that the tension between Lopez and Barroso started after the now-married couple gave their romance a second chance in 2021.
"Matt met Lucy the same year Jennifer and Ben split up the first time," referring to the time Lopez and Affleck called off their wedding in 2003.
Damon went on to marry Barroso in 2005 and welcomed three daughters together - Isabella, 17, Gia, 14, and Stella, 12. Meanwhile, she also developed a close friendship with her husband's best friend, Affleck.
The tipster said that once Lopez was back in Affleck's life, tension seemed to have escalated between the two women, as for JLo "that gets on her nerves."
The 'On The Floor' singer allegedly feels "Lucy thinks she’s better than her or something," shared the source, adding that though the Good Will Hunting' stars try very hard to convince their wives to come to a truce "it never goes well."
Noting the 'AIR' stars are refusing to give up, the insider added, "Ben and Matt think it would be great if the four of them could jet to Mexico for a weekend. The guys can’t force them but they’re getting awfully tired of this."
Lopez and Barroso were seen together during the 2024 Golden Globes Awards in January, accompanied by their husbands. They even sat at the two ends of the same table with their husbands in between.
Matt Damon wasn't keen on Bennifer 2.0
When Lopez and Affleck rekindled their romance for the second time, Damon wasn't too sure about their pairing.
During an interview with Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb on the 'Today' show, per Grazia, the actor was asked about his opinion on Affleck's rekindled romance with the 'Hustlers' star.
Saying that he was hearing the news for the first time, Damon noted, "It’s a fascinating story. I hope it’s true. I love them both. That would be awesome."
Despite Damon showing enthusiasm initially, sources close to the stars shared with the National Enquirer that he "has had serious reservations about Bennifer 2.0," as per Marca.
The tipster noted, "Matt has had serious reservations about Bennifer 2.0 from the beginning. He's tried to publicly support Ben, but the fact is he hates the way JLo treats his friend and can no longer bite his tongue."
In December 2023, the source further dished out that Affleck and Lopez were reportedly having issues in their marriage after getting married in July 2022.
They remarked, "It's no secret that Ben and JLo don't get along, as he always seems to be in the doghouse. It's obvious something needs to change, but when Matt started giving Ben advice, everything exploded."
Referring to Affleck and Lopez’s relationship in the early 2000s, the source added, "It feels like history is repeating itself because 20 years ago they stopped talking to each other for the exact same reason."
"But Matt can't keep quiet, even if it means influencing Ben,” and explained, "Seeing his friend posing on a red carpet, totally playing this role as JLo's arm candy, makes Matt nauseous," said the insider, along with, "He can't bear to see her constrain Ben. But after Matt challenged him, Ben started pulling back."
