Ben Affleck didn’t want ‘outside world’ to know about his and JLo’s love letters but notes were ‘no surprise’ for ex-wife Jennifer Garner

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Ben Affleck was reportedly not afraid of his ex-wife Jennifer Garner knowing that he kept love letters he exchanged with Jennifer Lopez while being married to Garner.

In fact, the actor’s concern was that the public would get to know the details of the personal notes in Lopez’s new documentary, ‘The Greatest Love Story Never Told’, Daily Mail reported.

A tipster shared, “Ben would love for the outside world not to know about his love letters, but he is a romantic, and as much as he loved Jennifer, he never got over JLo."

“Ben keeps his memories, whether it is from movies he worked on or family and relationship moments, he always has what the kids call ‘receipts'."

The source explained, “No one is surprised by this at all. Jennifer is OK with it, JLo obviously loves it and everyone notices that all this was meant to be. Jennifer and Ben have their wonderful children and are both enjoying the relationships they have always wanted to be in.”

Another insider revealed that the ‘On The Floor’ singer and Garner share “a good relationship and they have become friends and to think that there is any bad feelings on Jennifer’s part about Ben holding onto JLo's letters is just ridiculous".

They continued, “They have a blended family and Jennifer happily moved on a long time ago with John and the four of them have spent time together on multiple occasions."

“Jennifer knew going into her marriage how Ben felt about JLo and it was not a secret,” the insider asserted.

The source also added, “JLo and Jen have a lot of respect for each other and Jennifer has told JLo how happy she is that she has come back into Ben’s life because she can actually keep him in check. JLo refuses to let him slip into his old ways.”

Meanwhile, the highly-anticipated documentary launched on Prime Video on February 27. In the documentary, Lopez reportedly said, “This book is a book Ben gave me on our first Christmas back together."

“It is every letter and every mail that we wrote each other from 20 years ago and today.”

She added, “'The Greatest Love Story Never Told' by Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck 2001-2010... and counting…”

The 54-year-old singer and Affleck had been together in the early 2000s. They were also going to marry each other during that time but things did not work out between them.

The ‘Gone Girl’ actor then moved on with Garner and in 2005 they exchanged vows before getting divorced in 2018.
