Ben Affleck reportedly 'lovestruck' by Gillian Anderson following Jennifer Lopez split
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Ben Affleck might be turning the page on his high-profile split from Jennifer Lopez and this time, with Gillian Anderson by his side.
The Hollywood heavyweight has reportedly been “totally starstruck” by his new co-star as they prepare to film Netflix’s psychological thriller 'Animals', according to Radar Online.
Affleck's friend Matt Damon was originally slated to lead the film, however, he dropped out because of scheduling conflicts with his movie 'The Odyssey'.

An insider spilled that Ben Affleck has always “fancied” the 'X-Files' alum, and now that they’re working together, his admiration is reaching new heights.
“Here’s the juicy bit, Gillian has long been wary of dating the famous types, but Ben's smarts might just be her downfall,” the source spilled adding, "He's been gushing about how sexy she is and how much he fancies her."
The source revealed, "He's lovestruck and starstruck and says Matt's loss is his big gain."
"She’s kept things friendly with her ex, 'The Crown' creator Peter Morgan, but she’s flying solo for now,” the insider added.
Affleck, 52, is also at the helm of 'Animals' as its director.

Ben Affleck is stepping into the lead role in 'Animals', replacing longtime friend and collaborator Matt Damon, who exited due to scheduling conflicts with Christopher Nolan’s 'The Odyssey'. Affleck eagerly stepped in partly, sources say, because of his admiration for Anderson.
'Animals' is set to begin filming in Los Angeles this April, while 'The Odyssey' gears up for a global shoot starting later this month. The screenplay is being crafted by Oscar-winning writer Billy Ray ('Captain Phillips', 'The Hunger Games') and Connor McIntyre.
The story follows a mayoral candidate whose child is kidnapped, setting the stage for a tense, high-stakes thriller. Though Damon won’t appear in front of the camera, he remains attached as a producer through Artists Equity, the company he co-founded with Affleck. Additional producers include Brad Weston and Collin Creighton of MakeReady, alongside Fifth Season.
Affleck, who previously helmed 'Argo', 'The Town', and 'Air', is once again taking on double duty as both actor and director. The film will also feature The 'X-Files' and 'The Crown' star Gillian Anderson in a key role, with more casting announcements expected soon.
Following the official end of their marriage on February 21, Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are now legally single. This marks their second separation, as the couple rekindled their relationship in 2021 after previously calling off their first engagement in 2004.
