WASHINGTON, DC: Political commentator Ben Shapiro praised the leadership of Donald Trump during a recent interview, saying the president deserves top marks for how he has handled his role. Speaking with Lara Trump, Shapiro shared his views on the current political situation and the direction of the administration.

During the discussion, which also touched on the Iran conflict and broader shifts in global politics, Shapiro said he would give Trump an “A plus” for the way he is leading the country. He argued that Trump’s decisions today could have a major impact in the long term, shaping events far beyond the next decade.

Shapiro also praised the president’s approach to decision-making, describing his actions as examples of “political courage” and saying the choices made now could influence the political landscape for many years to come.

Ben Shapiro praises Trump’s leadership

Shapiro strongly praised the leadership of Trump while speaking in a one-on-one interview with Lara Trump on the Fox News program 'My View'. During the discussion, Lara asked Shapiro how he would grade the president’s leadership during the current political scenario.

“Now, on the complete opposite side of the coin as President Donald Trump, if you had to grade his leadership during this time in our country right now. What would you give them?”

Shapiro responded with strong praise for the president’s actions, especially in relation to the situation involving Iran. “I mean, A plus right now. I mean, again, I think what you're watching him do in Iran is not only unprecedented in terms of its political courage.”

He went on to argue that the president’s decisions could have consequences far beyond the immediate conflict and might shape the global balance of power for decades.

“I think that it is and has the potential to be a true game changer for America's role in the world, not only for the next 10 or 20 years, but for the coming Century, because what he is doing is he's reasserting American Authority in the world." "He is saying that we are not a country that is receding inside our own borders.”

Shapiro also said the approach reflects a broader vision of American strength on the global stage and follows the long-standing idea of peace through strength in foreign policy.

“We're not a country that looks back at a beautiful past, but looks forward to a kind of a sad future of decline. He's reinvigorating a vision of America strong on the world stage, and he understands on an innate gut level. The president's foreign policy has always been rooted in the principle of peace through strength.”

He concluded by saying that Trump’s negotiating style plays a key role in his strategy and can be effective in international politics. “They actually have to make the hard decisions. Make your opponents understand that they cannot cross us."

"And I think the president, you know, it's a real estate negotiation to him. And guess what the rules of New York real estate actually play incredibly well to the politics of the Middle East.”

The conflict involving Trump and Iran has shifted the political conversation not only in the US but across the world. The war, which began on February 28, has sparked sharp reactions, with some leaders and analysts supporting the decision while others strongly oppose it.

More than two weeks into the conflict, both sides have carried out several attacks. Iran has launched strikes across parts of the Middle East, while the US and Israel have also carried out operations targeting Iranian positions.

Despite the continuing tension, Trump has said that Iran appears willing to negotiate, though he believes the proposals presented so far are not strong enough to reach an agreement.

Meanwhile, Pete Hegseth made a striking remark about the situation. He suggested that Iran now clearly understands the alliance facing it, saying that when the country looks upward, it sees the symbols of both nations.

According to Hegseth, Iran now sees the “stars and stripes” and the “star of David” above it, referring to the flags of the US and Israel.
