Benjamin Netanyahu rings in 2026 with Trump at glittering Mar-a-Lago New Year’s Eve bash
PALM BEACH, FLORIDA: As 2026 ushered in under crystal chandeliers and palm-lined skies, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu joined US President Donald Trump at a lavish New Year’s Eve celebration at Mar-a-Lago on Wednesday, December 31.
The high-profile appearance came amid ongoing talks over the fragile Gaza ceasefire, adding diplomatic weight to an otherwise glittering social affair.

Netanyahu and Trump share New Year’s spotlight at Mar-a-Lago
Trump rang in the start of 2026 by hosting Netanyahu at his exclusive New Year’s Eve party at Mar-a-Lago, according to social media posts shared late Wednesday night.
The event, described by attendees as glittering and high-energy, unfolded at Trump’s Palm Beach resort, a familiar stage for both political deal-making and high-society gatherings.

Netanyahu, who arrived in Florida earlier in the week, was seen standing alongside a tuxedo-clad Trump in images shared by conservative influencer Michael Solakiewicz.
The New Year’s Eve appearance capped several days of meetings between Trump and Netanyahu, who have been in close contact since Trump’s return to power.
From ceasefire talks to champagne toasts
Trump had earlier joked that Netanyahu could attend the Mar-a-Lago celebration during meetings held on Monday, where the two leaders discussed the October Gaza ceasefire and other pressing geopolitical concerns. The ceasefire has been widely described by the administration as one of the major foreign policy achievements of Trump’s first year back in office.
Despite the festive optics, the diplomatic stakes remain high. Some White House officials have privately expressed concerns that Netanyahu may be moving slowly on the second stage of the ceasefire agreement. Still, Trump has publicly dismissed suggestions of friction between the two allies.
This week, the president downplayed reports of tensions, saying Israel had “lived up” to its commitments so far and emphasizing that responsibility for the next steps lay with Hamas.
Trump also made clear where he stands, adding that he was “not concerned about anything that Israel’s doing.”
A guest list packed with Trump allies
The Mar-a-Lago New Year’s Eve party drew a who’s who of Trump’s political and social inner circle. Among those spotted at the event were former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani and Emirati billionaire Hussain Sajwani, a longtime Trump associate with business interests in the United States and the Middle East.

Trump’s sons, Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr, were also in attendance, along with senior figures from the administration. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and White House deputy chief of staff Dan Scavino were both reported to be present, underscoring the blend of politics and celebration that has become a hallmark of Mar-a-Lago gatherings.
Netanyahu’s presence at the New Year’s Eve party marked his fifth meeting with Trump in the US since the president returned to office earlier this year. The frequency of these encounters highlights the central role the US-Israel relationship continues to play in Trump’s foreign policy agenda.
