NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE: Taylor Swift has a remarkable talent for crafting songs, and if there's one thing she excels at, it's undoubtedly writing music.

In 2020, Taylor Swift shifted to a more folk-like sound with Aaron Dessner of The National, releasing 'Folklore' and 'Evermore'.

This collaboration with Dessner, 47, expanded her musical and lyrical scope, garnering critical acclaim and commercial success.

Aaron Dessner calls Taylor Swift a 'truly wonderful human being'

Now, as Swift is featured on the cover of PEOPLE's 2023 Most Intriguing People, Dessner reflected on their friendship, future projects, and Swift's love for baking.

As Dessner was asked whether he could recall any studio or writing session moments that highlight why Taylor excels in her craft, he replied, "There are so many stories I could share. When I sent Taylor the music for our song 'Willow' — I think she wrote the entire song from start to finish in less than 10 minutes and sent it back to me.

He continued, "It was like an earthquake. Then Taylor said, 'I guess we are making another album'."



 

Aaron Dessner acknowledged the beauty in Taylor Swift's songwriting. He highlighted her poetic and literary approach calling Swift "one of the greatest songwriters of all time."

He further mentioned her artistic world, which is filled with elaborate narratives and hidden meanings, including "easter eggs" for fans to obsess over. Dessner also talked about the albums 'Folklore' and 'Evermore', which were written at the peak of the pandemic.

He expressed to People, "I love the sense of belonging that this creates in Taylor's music, where joy, overcoming adversity, shattering patriarchal structures and celebrating diversity are so prevalent as themes. She is an absolute genius and thankfully also a truly wonderful human being".

Fans say Taylor Swift is 'coming back stronger than a 90s trend'

This revelation has added another layer to the admiration that Swifties hold for the singer's remarkable talent in delivering hit musical pieces.

One Swtfie took to Twitter, writing, "Her pen game is in its own level," and another added, "She wasn't joking when she said she's coming back stronger than a 90's trend," referring to the lyrics of 'Willow'.

A third comment also read, "Omggg she is such a content writer like the best music writer ever in history."



 



 



 

"Girlie took 10mins to write a masterpiece wowz," noted another stunned fan in awe, as one simply said, "Absolute queen."



 



 

 

Taylor Swift's musical talents might not be new to some people but when asked if there was any other unexpected revelation about the star, Dessner recalled, "Maybe it's so not so surprising, but she's a very, very good cook and a great visual artist too."
