LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Bethenny Frankel was left furious after one of the ultra-luxurious stores denied her entry.

'The Real Housewives of New York City' alum took to Instagram to share the experience on Wednesday, May 22, per PageSix.

Chanel’s security stopped her since she wasn’t on their schedule, “I’m like, ‘No, I don’t have an appointment. I have a credit card. I have a bag of Garrett’s popcorn, a basic bitch purse. Am I not allowed to come in at 3:54 on a Tuesday?’ Evidently not,” Frankel told her fans.

Bethenny Frankel calls out Chanel for their 'elitist and exclusionary' behavior

The 53-year-old let out her frustration, “To be treated like you’re an interloper. … I didn’t realize we weren’t allowed to walk into stores anymore. Gotta get a pap smear appointment and also to walk into Chanel. No big deal.”

Though, the TV personality admitted “security is critical” since the “crime is at an all time high,” she felt the security guard’s behavior was “elitist and exclusionary” because she was wearing a “sweaty tshirt [sic] and not dolled up or looking wealthy.”

“In business, first impressions are lasting. I would never want anyone to feel lesser than, particularly from a luxury brand making billions off of people buying into the hype,” Frankel wrote.

“Chanel is a beautiful brand with timeless classic pieces. Being kind to customers of all socioeconomic backgrounds is also timeless and classic,” she added.

Internet defends Chanel for sticking to their rules

Netizens questioned Frankel on slamming the ultra-luxury brand.

One online user wrote, "Maybe they were only open by appointment at the time she stopped by. Maybe every casual shopper was being turned away, and SHE is being the elitist by demanding store entry without scheduling an appointment."

"Thanks for letting us all know you can afford to shop at Chanel, Bethenny. You can afford it, but you don't know all the luxury brand stores require appointments now?" another said

A user tried to explain, "They do this because of the swarms of "gangs" who steal and leave in under a minute, scaring the store employees half to death. Everybody has to suffer because of it."

Another wrote, "Guess she's never visited the shops in France. Clerks there are notorious for their attitude and lack of customer service. Frankly, she is typically just as 'abrasive' as the Chanel doorman."

"Maybe they need to have appointments because it's CHICAGO," opined one.

"You know what sounds elitist - complaining about not getting into Chanel because crime is at an all time high yet thousands of local small businesses have lost everything because crime it at an all time high," said another.

"A lot of high end stores in NYC are like this now thanks to rampant shoplifting. I used tot love just popping in and browsing. Alas, those days are done," shared one user.
