HOUSTON, TEXAS: Beyonce's childhood home went up in flames on Christmas morning.

As per reports from various outlets, including KHOU 11, CW 39 Houston, and Fox 26 Houston, a fire erupted around 2 am on Monday, December 25, at the residence situated on Rosedale St.

The occupants of the residence, a couple and their two children, managed to safely evacuate before the arrival of first responders, and no injuries were reported, according to Houston Fire Department (HFD) Chief Justin Barnes as conveyed to KHOU 11. HFD is still in the process of determining the cause of the fire.

It took 10 minutes to contain the blaze

Firefighters who responded to the scene within minutes saw a fire coming from the home's second story. It took about 10 minutes to contain the blaze, HFD told Fox 26.

Firefighters had to cut the roof of the house to be sure that the fire didn't spread. "They did a great job. I'm going to say in less than 10 minutes, we had a really good grip on this fire," Barnes said.

Beyonce stayed at the property until she was 5

The property which was sold in 2019 had three bathrooms and bedrooms, featuring a spiral staircase leading to a third-floor office space.

The Queen Bey's family purchased the property for $64,000. Although she left the residence when she was only 5 years old, the global icon continued to live in the Texas city till she was 21 years old.

At the present moment, the 'Single Ladies' singer lives in California.
