LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Comedian Bill Burr slammed Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk by calling him an "idiot" and branded the multi-billionaire an "evident Nazi".

The 56-year-old comedian appeared on the latest episode of NPR’s 'Fresh Air' podcast to promote his new Hulu comedy special, 'Drop Dead Years'. He explained that his current stand-up material should wake people up to the realities of the current political atmosphere, according to the Independent.

Bill Burr calls Elon Musk 'idiot' and says he is 'evidently a Nazi'

Bill Burr said during the podcast, "I’m trying to get regular people to stop yelling at each other and realize that it’s a select few group of nerds eating raw almonds and doing their stupid workouts and competing with each other to have the biggest infinity pool, and the rest of us are getting pushed down."

He continued, "They’ve politicized the whole stupid thing and we’re falling for it."

Blurr was asked to clarify what almond-eating nerds he was referring to and the comedian replied, "That idiot Elon Musk, who evidently is a Nazi."

He added, "I just refuse to believe it was an accidental two-time Sieg Heil [by Musk], and he does it at a presidential inauguration!"

Burr was referring to Musk’s controversial hand gesture during an Inauguration Day event, which many interpreted to be a Nazi salute, per the outlet.

The 56-year-old comedian continued, "This is why I hate liberals. Liberals have no teeth whatsoever. They just go, oh my God, can you believe this? I’m getting out of the country!"

"I’m just like, you’re gonna leave the country because of one guy with dyed hair plugs and a laminated face? Who makes a bad car and has an obsolete social media platform? Why doesn’t he leave? Why are we so afraid of this guy who can’t fight his way out of a wet paper bag?" Burr added.

Notably, this isn't the first time Burr has taken a jibe at Musk. In February 2025, he launched a rant against Musk after his X account was flagged despite him not using the social media platform.

He said on his 'Monday Morning Podcast', "I was scrolling through my emails and it said my Twitter account had been flagged for inappropriate. I don't even use Twitter anymore."

He added, according to Irish Star, "What a f*****g baby. That's another thing, all of these people who are into f*****g Hiltler, look at this guy like he's some sort of hero. The Twitter guy, he's not even from here. He's from South Africa and wants to turn it into a f*****g dictatorship. He doesn't feel that we deserve democracy."

Internet divided as Bill Burr says 'idiot' Elon Musk is 'evidently a Nazi'

People on the internet stayed divided and shared mixed reactions as Bill Burr slammed Elon Musk by calling him an "idiot" and branded him an "evident Nazi" during a recent podcast with NPR.

A user wrote on X, "Obsolete social media platform? Bro. @X is best number one social media app there is," while one added, "Sounds like burr is projecting."

A person also stated, "I'm sorry @billburr but you do not want to die on this hill. Try and be more skeptical of both sides and open your mind," whereas one mentioned, "What a tremendous fall from based to embarrassingly woke."

Meanwhile, a user also wrote, "Impossible to argue," while one commented, "Bill burr eloquent and clinical as per usual."

A person added, "He cooked him good," whereas one stated, "Lol this is why bill burr is the best. He tells it like it is."
