LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: In a recent episode of his 'Club Random' podcast, comedian Bill Maher discussed the potential political impact of Taylor Swift, suggesting that she could sway the election in favor of Kamala Harris with a simple social media post.

Despite his well-known disdain for Donald Trump, Maher expressed hesitance about the idea of Swift’s endorsement.

Speaking with comedian Nikki Glaser, a self-proclaimed Swift fan, Maher remarked, “If she said, ‘Vote for Trump,’ then he’d win,” adding that such a scenario wouldn’t be favorable. He characterized Trump’s supporter base as a “cult,” stating, “That’s not good.”

He also drew a parallel, indicating that Swift’s fanbase exhibits similar cult-like qualities. “It is a cult. Maybe a cult leader can be a source for good and not evil and I think she genuinely is [good]. I have no reason to put her down or desire to,” Maher noted.

He emphasized his respect for her accomplishments, acknowledging that he has no negative feelings toward her.

Maher previously joked on 'Real Time With Bill Maher' about how Swift's presence "drives MAGA Nation crazy," likening her to Trump as a “blonde billionaire with a cult.”

He pointed to Swift’s significant influence, noting that her Instagram post urging voter registration for Kamala Harris successfully directed over 400,000 people to a registration website.

“These elections that we have now are so close, razor sharp. Right there, could be the difference,” he said, reflecting on the potential electoral ramifications of her involvement.

Maher shares mixed feelings on Swift's influence and personal life predictions

While skeptical of her political influence, Maher reiterated that he has no negative commentary about Swift. He ultimately acknowledged his “respect” for her achievements but also shared his controversial views on her personal life, particularly her relationship with Travis Kelce.

“Do you want my prediction about the love affair [between Swift and Travis Kelce]?” he asked Glaser, who seemed uneasy.

“He’s gonna dump her. It’s just what guys like that do. They get the f**k stink on them of like, the celebrity woman, and then they’re a made man for the rest of their life,” he continued, referring to a pattern he sees in celebrity relationships.

Maher likened Swift’s situation to that of Pete Davidson, noting, “As soon as [Davidson] got with Ariana Grande, he was a made man for the rest of his life. And I feel like this is what’s gonna happen [with Kelce and Swift].”

After delivering his prediction, Maher asked Glaser if he had “ruined your night,” to which she replied, “Quite possibly,” though she added her belief that “Travis is different.”
