WASHINGTON, DC: Bill Maher criticized MAGA critics, saying he has grown frustrated with the constant hostility surrounding President Donald Trump.

The veteran comedian argued that some people have turned their dislike of Trump into their entire identity, calling the fixation tired and repetitive after years of nonstop outrage. Maher went on to share more thoughts about what he sees as an unhealthy obsession among Trump’s loudest critics.

During a recent episode of his podcast 'Club Random', Bill Maher discussed what he called the Trump phenomenon. Joined by John Stamos, Maher marveled at how one person has dominated the national conversation for so long. Stamos agreed, noting, “Every conversation, every dinner, every f**king thing.”

Maher said he is tired of the obsession. He explained that the nonstop focus on Trump has lasted “over a decade” and left him without the energy or interest to keep having Trump-centered discussions. “I do think you have to fight that. Like I say, if that’s your whole personality — is the first thing out of your mouth is, ‘What are we going to do about Donald Trump?’ I just can’t,” Maher said.

Stamos added that Maher “doesn’t have the answer” to that question, and the late-night host admitted he can’t escape these people.

The conversation turned to Maher’s widely reported White House dinner with Trump earlier this year. Maher said it wouldn’t hurt the country to have more people like him talking to the president, and that Trump would likely welcome it. “Maybe I’m the Trump Whisperer,” Maher said. “but I think we would do a lot better to have more people like me talking to him."

He added, "He’s a guy from New Yawk, okay. He doesn’t want to be with a bunch of f*cking rednecks and simpletons, you know? Does he like a**-kissers? Yes, he does.”

Maher also keeps a framed piece of paper in his 'Club Random' studio listing all the insults Trump has directed at him over the years, including calling him “stone-cold crazy” and “not a smart guy.”

Trump signed the paper when Maher visited the White House, and Maher said last month that he would gladly dine with the president again.

Bill Maher praised Trump after White House dinner

Bill Maher earlier discussed his White House meeting with Trump during a 'Club Random' podcast episode with NewsNation anchor Chris Cuomo.

He said, “Whatever you think of the policy and him as a person… just as a politician. Trump is one of the most effective politicians.”

Maher also urged Democrats to learn from Trump, saying, “You know, he has those moments that no other politician has. And the Democrats have to find that guy. But let’s be real, they’ve been searching for years, and they’re still coming up empty."

He added, “He is daddy. People want a daddy. And Democrats keep putting up Tims. He has that thing. And no one else has it." He continued, "People are not savvy about issues, but they smell a phony a mile away. And that kind of s**t, nobody else does it.  This guy just voices his interior monologue.  And voters eat it up.”
