Billie Eilish loses more than 100K followers after bombshell 'coming out' confession
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Billie Eilish's Instagram follower count seems to have dropped after he latest confession.
After revealing her sexual orientation in an interview with Variety, the 'What Was I Made For?' singer reportedly lost more than 100,000 followers on the social media network.
The musician, 21, reportedly lost 117,750 followers in the previous 30 days, with Sunday, December 3, being the height of the loss.
That day, or the day after the interview, 40,428 Instagram users unfollowed the Grammy winner.
Billie Eilish reveals being 'attracted' to women
Billie highlighted her statement about being "attracted" to women in the magazine's Power of Women issue last month during an interview at Variety's annual Hitmakers Brunch event.
When asked if she had planned to be in the story, the 'Bad Guy' singer responded, "No, I didn't." But I kind of thought, 'Wasn't it obvious?'... I didn't realize people didn't know," as reported by Aceshowbiz.
She went on to say she didn't "really believe in the concept of coming out," adding, "I'm just like, 'Why can't we just exist?'" I've been doing this for a long time, and I just didn't talk about it. Whoops."

Fans expressed their outrage on social media after hearing about Billie's words. "I really thought she was just a tomboy hey," one said on X, adding, "Nothing was obvious."
A perplexed user penned, "Wasn’t she with several men or this is something new I’m a little confused."
Another pointed out, "She had an interview in 2017 where she said she was straight. Yeah, she might have changed her preferences and that's okay but I try not to assume people's sexual preference until they say so."

Billie also talked about her reaction after the article was published last month. "I saw the article and I was like, oh... I guess... I came out today!" she recalled. "..OK cool. But it's exciting to me because I guess people didn't know... but it's cool that they know. Ooh, I'm nervous talking about it!" before concluding, "But... I am for the girls."
