Billy Baldwin rebukes Sharon Stone for naming producer who pressured her to sleep with him
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Sharon Stone has finally revealed the name of the producer who tried to coerce her to get intimate with her co-star to make the film “better.”
Appearing on the ‘Louis Theroux’ podcast on Monday, March 11, Stone shared that it was producer Robert Evans who implored her to have a physical relationship with actor Billy Baldwin as they were filming the 1993 film ‘Sliver.'
Though the ‘Basic Instinct’ actress previously shared the experience of her getting pressured by a Hollywood producer in her 2021 memoir ‘The Beauty of Living Twice’, she did not name-drop the actor and producer then.
Sharon Stone reveals producer Robert Evans pressured her
Recalling the experience, Stone shared during the podcast interview, “He called me to his office. He had these very low ’70s, ’80s couches, so I’m essentially sitting on the floor when I should have been on set," per Page Six.
“And he’s running around his office in sunglasses explaining to me that he slept with Ava Gardner and I should sleep with Billy Baldwin, because if I slept with Billy Baldwin, Billy Baldwin’s performance would get better, and we needed Billy to get better in the movie because that was the problem,” divulged the 66-year-old star.
Stone explained that Evans believed if Stone slept with Baldwin, now 61, the pair would have better “chemistry on screen,” which would “save the movie.”
However, Stone admitted that she wasn’t the one to budge under pressure, as she shared, “The real problem with the movie was me because I was so uptight, and so not like a real actress who could just f**k him and get things back on track,” before declaring proudly, “The real problem was I was such a tight arse.”
Stone, who is also an artist, added that the director "ignored the list of actors I recommended for the role" and opted for Baldwin instead.
However, Stone doesn’t hold the same feelings towards her ‘Basic Instinct’ co-star Michael Douglas, as she believes the ‘Fatal Attraction’ star "could come to work and instinctively hit those marks."
She shared, "I didn't have to f**k Michael Douglas. Michael could come to work and just know how to hit those marks and do that line, and rehearse and show up. Now all of a sudden I'm in the 'I have to f**k people' business."
Earlier in her memoir, she recounted the same scenario, acknowledging, "I had actor approval in my contract."
Unfortunately, she revealed, “No one cared. They cast who they wanted. To my dismay, sometimes. To the detriment of the picture, sometimes."
In her tell-all, she wrote about Evans suggesting she slept with Baldwin, “He walked back and forth in his office with the balls falling out of the spout and rolling all over the wood floor as he explained to me why I should f**k my co-star so that we could have on-screen chemistry.”
The ‘Casino’ star wrote that she thought at that time, "You guys insisted on this actor when he couldn't get one whole scene out in the test," and added, "Now you think if I f**k him, he will become a fine actor? Nobody's that good in bed," per People.
She continued, "I felt they could have just hired a co-star with talent, someone who could deliver a scene and remember his lines," and added, "It was my job to act and I said no."
Billy Baldwin retorted back to Sharon Stone's allegation
Meanwhile, Sharon Stone’s namedropping garnered considerable attention from Billy Baldwin as well.
The ‘Northern Rescue’ star took to his social media handle to call out Stone while threatening to write a tell-all spilling the ‘Total Recall’ actress’s “many disturbing, kinky and unprofessional tales.”
He started his lengthy post about Stone’s confession, saying, “Not sure why Sharon Stone keeps talking about me all these years later?”

Does she still have a crush on me or is she still hurt after all these years because I shunned her advances?

He continued to shade the ‘Action Jackson’ actress as he quizzed, “Does she still have a crush on me or is she still hurt after all these years because I shunned her advances?”
Baldwin claimed in his post that Stone allegedly told one of her female friends that she would make Baldwin “fall so hard” for her.
“Did she say to her gal pal Janice Dickinson the day after I screen tested and ran into them on our MGM Grand flight back to New York… 'I'm gonna make him fall so hard for me, it's gonna make his head spin???'” wrote Baldwin.
He continued to slam Stone, as he wrote, “I have so much dirt on her it would make her head spin but I've kept quiet.”
Baldwin then referred back to the story of Evans, noting, “The story of the meeting I had with Bob Evans imploring him allow me to choreograph the final s*x scene in the photo below so I wouldn't have to kiss Sharon is an absolute legend.”
The ‘Gossip Girl’ actor concluded the post with a veiled threat to spill Stone’s secrets, “Wonder if I should write a book and tell the many, many disturbing, kinky and unprofessional tales about Sharon?” before adding, “That might be fun.”
Internet reacts to the fiasco
Internet reacted to the fiasco with some of them even slamming Billy Baldwin for his post.
One of the social media users said, "I’m not sure why you’re upset with ST. She’s addressing the disgusting producer’s actions, she’s not talking about you, according to the article you linked. Weird 'flex' though and kinda gross. This seems out of character for you."
