WASHINGTON, DC: Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy went viral on social media for his reaction to a bird landing on his head while reporting live from the White House lawn on Friday, April 11, reported Mediaite.

The incident took place when Doocy was responding to a question from 'Fox & Friends' co-host Ainsley Earhardt on President Donald Trump's bizarre post on Truth Social about Mexico owing the state of Texas 1.3 million acre-feet of water.

As Peter Doocy was saying that Donald Trump's claim of Mexico owing water to Texas was news to him as well, a bird, possibly a dove, was seen swooping down and landing on his head.

"A bird landed on my head!" screamed Doocy as he ducked, making the co-hosts in the Fox News studio burst out laughing. "I did not like that at all... That is probably so dirty," he said.

As co-hosts Brian Kilmeade and Lawrence Jones joked about Doocy's hair being messed up, the reporter called on Trump, saying, "President Trump, if you are watching upstairs, we got to do something about these birds. Where is the park service? They are always out here in the street and blowing except when the birds are landing on my head."

"I hope it didn’t have the flu," jibed Kilmeade, to which Doocy retorted, "Yeah, great. Can we get some shampoo guy down here?"

The incident was later addressed by White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt during a press briefing. When a journalist brought up the subject, Leavitt broke into a smile and asked if he was okay, adding that there were also reports of a mouse in the briefing room earlier in the day.

Internet finds Peter Doocy's reactions 'hilarious'

One sarcastically wrote, "Handled it like a pro," while another jibed, "Bird saw a ready-to-assemble nest and went for it."

A person chided, "Unhinged leftist activist bird attacks Peter Doocy," whereas someone else added, "That’s a hate crime! 20 years in prison!"

"Now that is hilarious!" an individual exclaimed. One more wrote, "They usually find an unoccupied space for nest so this checks out."

"Animals can detect evil," another person quipped, while one joked, "Yea we know democrats are violent this is nothing new."
