Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds' record-breaking summer tainted by industry buzz over 'ruthless ambition'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are basking in their summer successes, with Lively’s 'It Ends With Us' grossing over $245 million worldwide and Reynolds’ 'Deadpool & Wolverine' hitting the $1 billion milestone.
However, their blockbuster success has been overshadowed by industry buzz surrounding alleged feuds and script manipulations shaking Hollywood
Ryan Reynolds’ secret scene rewrite in Black Lively’s film exposed by red carpet comments
The power couple, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, undeniably dominate the entertainment world, but critics are focusing on their cutthroat and ambitious tactics.
“The sheer level of ambition between the two of them is blatantly obvious but what people in the industry are whispering about is their ruthlessness in achieving their goals,” a source told Life & Style. “It hasn’t gone unnoticed that they’re willing to throw their weight around when it comes to getting what they want.”
The controversy arises from allegations that Reynolds altered a crucial scene in Lively's 'It Ends With Us,' a change reportedly made without informing screenwriter Christy Hall.
ET confirmed that Justin Baldoni, the film’s director, only discovered these changes through Lively’s comments at a red-carpet event.
“ET can confirm that Ryan Reynolds writing a scene for IT ENDS WITH US that made it into the final cut of the film did indeed come as news to Justin Baldoni who found out only after Blake Lively revealed it in a red carpet interview,” the outlet penned on X.
Black Lively's film sequel's future in jeopardy amid ongoing feud
The controversy has left many questioning the methods of Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds.
“People are genuinely afraid of going against them, which of course only adds to their power,” the Life & Style source stated. “They might come across as being sweet as apple pie, but make no mistake, anyone that tries to stand in their way is almost guaranteed to get steamrolled.”
Further complicating the drama, the future of the sequel 'It Starts With Us' is uncertain due to the ongoing feud. With Baldoni holding the rights and the Writers Guild of America yet to address Reynolds' script changes from last summer’s strike, the situation remains unresolved.
While Reynolds’ team maintains that the script changes were made in April, prior to the strike, the couple remains silent, further fueling the growing intrigue.
Moreover, rumors are swirling online that Lively and Reynolds might be contemplating a move away from Hollywood.
According to social media, including paparazzi account DeuxMoi and reports by Netflix Junkie, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are reportedly considering a move to the Charlotte area in North Carolina.
They are also exploring private schools for their four children: James, 9, Inez, 7, Betty, 4, and Olin, 1. However, there is no official confirmation regarding the move or the reasons behind it.
