LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Blake Lively has, once again, come under social media fire after her ‘It Ends With Us’ co-star Justin Baldoni filed a $400 million lawsuit against her and her husband Ryan Reynolds

Lively, who previously accused Baldoni of sexual harassment and creating a toxic workplace on the sets of ‘It Ends With Us’, filed a lawsuit against the ‘Jane the Virgin’ star just before the holidays.

Meanwhile, after much speculation, Baldoni, 40, too sued Lively, 37, and Reynolds, 48, in a filing on January 16, with his publicists claiming the actress’ team fabricated a scheme to destroy his life and career.

As the legal battle between the two co-stars heats up, several social media users are anticipating a high-voltage court case. In the meantime, 'The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants’ actress has been inundated with hateful messages on social media, including ones that suggest she should “wear florals in court".

Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni’s legal battle heats up

In the court documents obtained by Daily Mail, Justin Baldoni accused Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds of using their combined star power to take control of the production and marketing of ‘It Ends With Us’, which predominantly dealt with domestic violence.

Denying Lively’s allegations of Baldoni creating a hostile workplace, and the actor body shaming her, the ‘It Ends With Us’ director said that it was the actress who made disparaging comments about him.

The lawsuit reads, “Lively apologized for the smell of her spray tan and body makeup. Baldoni responded, "It smells good," and continued acting, slow dancing as he believed his character would with his partner, which requires some amount of physical touching.”

“Lively took them out of character again and began to joke about Baldoni's nose, which he laughed off and joked in turn, even as Lively joked that he should get plastic surgery,” claimed the lawsuit.

Previously, in her December 2024 lawsuit, Lively shared her version of the story, as her lawsuit read, “At one point, he leaned forward and slowly dragged his lips from her ear and down her neck as he said, "It smells so good"."

Lively's lawsuit claimed, “None of this was remotely in character, or based on any dialogue in the script, and nothing needed to be said because, again, there was no sound — Mr Baldoni was caressing Mr Lively with his mouth in a way that had nothing to do with their roles. When Ms Lively later objected to this behavior, Ms Baldoni's response was, 'I'm not even attracted to you'."

Referencing Lively’s suit, Baldoni’s filing stated, “Lively alleges Baldoni inappropriately commented on her physical appearance. It was the other way around.”

“Lively incorrectly alleges that this scene was filmed without sound. Baldoni was wearing a microphone and the entire exchange is captured on camera. Any suggestion that this scene was filmed in any manner other than pure professionalism by Baldoni is unequivocally countered with actual evidence," added the suit.

It continued, “Lively's comment about Baldoni's nose is also captured on camera. Baldoni, rather than write down a list of grievances against Lively, brushed it off and moved on with the scene.”

His lawsuit also claimed that Baldoni and his team were relegated to the basement after arriving on the red carpet for the movie's premiere on August 6, 2024, since “Lively demanded he not attend".

It further added, “Security personnel, acting as though there was a risk of 'escape,' escorted Baldoni's group to the basement of the building,” before noting, “There, they were confined to a makeshift holding area surrounded by concession stand stock, with only foldout tables and chairs arranged in a square.”

As Baldoni's lawsuit came forward, Lively started receiving immense criticism on social media platforms, especially a post on WWD's Instagram account for her cover story with the magazine.

Blake Lively brutally trolled after Justin Baldoni's $400M lawsuit

Social media users bombarded the comment section of the WWD Instagram post as they boldly declared they "can't" stand Blake Lively, while mockingly advising her to "wear florals" during the court hearing.

One user referenced Lively's interview with the Norwegian journalist Kjersti Flaa, saying, "Congratulations on your career ending bump!"

Another user responded to the slight saying, "I see what you did there, but this is no bump she is on the ledge and we’re all going to watch her fall off. Team J!!"

"I just found out today that she made fun of Leighton Meester’s birth (born while mother was unfortunately incarcerated) by saying “well, some of us started in a cage” and pointed at Leighton! I originally had some hope for her, now I know for a fact she is malicious at core," shared someone else while referencing to Lively's resurfaced interview with her 'Gossip Girl' co-star Leighton Meester.

"Don’t forget to wear your florals.. in court," chimed in another.

Someone else declared while clarifying, "It's not a smear campaign. We genuinely can't stand you."

Another user claimed, "Literally!! We've hated her for years now how she gonna blame Justin??"

Someone else hypothesized that Lively and her husband can't take jokes on themselves, writing, "Now now. I think the lawsuit is bs but I like Blake as an actress. And Ryan as an actor. I think while they can make jokes, they can't take them and get overly offended by things that aren't actually offensive. Terrible way to live."

"I just watched a video of you making an unsolicited and rude joke about an actress being born in jail. Completely unacceptable," vehemently protested one user.

A comment read, "They can NEVER make me like you ☺️."

Another group of users even mocked the actress citing the 'Game of Thrones' reference, noting, "Please don't compare yourself to Khaleesi ever again."

"Khaleesi and her dragons meet their doom in the end so she might have a point 😅," expressed someone else.

Another user curiously asked, "Is your long weird texts about dragons the concrete evidence?? Lol!"

"I simply do not believe you. I will never watch yours or Ryan's movies again. Sad," remarked an individual.

Another fan punned on the name of the movie that is the epicenter of the legal conflict saying, "IS THE CONCRETE EVIDENCE IN THE ROOM WITH US? 🙄"
