Justin Baldoni sat and cried for hours in Blake Lively’s dressing room as she looked ‘old’ in movie
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Blake Lively has made shocking allegations against her 'It Ends with Us' co-star and director, Justin Baldoni, revealing that he became highly emotional over social media backlash about her appearance on set.
According to a lawsuit filed by the actress, Baldoni was reportedly distressed over online comments that criticized Lively’s looks, specifically calling her "old and unattractive" based on paparazzi photos taken during filming.
Blake Lively alleges Justin Baldoni disrupted filming over social media backlash
'Gossip Girl' alum Blake Lively, 37, claimed that Justin Baldoni, 40, made a scene on set after reading the negative feedback regarding her looks. Lively alleged that Baldoni cried for hours in her dressing room, causing significant disruptions to the filming schedule.
"Mr Baldoni made the rest of the cast and crew wait for hours while he cried in Ms Lively's dressing room, claiming social media commentators were saying that Ms Lively looked old and unattractive based on paparazzi photos from the set," the lawsuit claimed, according to TooFab.
It further read, "She tried to reassure him that she should look authentic in the scenes depicted in the photos, which were just after her character had been abused by her fictional husband, rather than 'hot'."
'The Age of Adaline' star claimed Baldoni "appeared focused" on her "sexual appeal above all else" and that his "lengthy outburst caused a delay in shooting, forcing an emotional scene to be shot haphazardly".
Blake Lively alleges Justin Baldoni secretly contacted her fitness trainer
Blake Lively further alleged that Justin Baldoni secretly contacted her fitness trainer, without her knowledge or consent, and implied that she needed to lose weight in just two weeks. Baldoni supposedly told the trainer that his concern stemmed from a scene where he might need to lift her.
However, Lively's legal team maintains that there was no such scene in the script.
"Ms Lively was humiliated to learn that Mr Baldoni secretly called her fitness trainer, without her knowledge or permission, and implied that he wanted her to lose weight in two weeks," the documents stated.
The lawsuit claimed, "Mr Baldoni told the trainer that he had asked because he was concerned about having to pick Ms Lively up in a scene for the movie, but there was no such scene."
The former teen star expressed that she felt Baldoni "was shaming her for her body and weight," even as she was falling ill during filming.
According to Lively, Baldoni "gifted" her a referral to "an expert he had on retainer to help her with probiotics and to combat the sickness".
"When Ms Lively went to fill out the privacy forms, she saw the expert was not what Mr Baldoni had represented her to be, but was instead a weight-loss specialist," she claimed in the lawsuit.
Blake Lively alleges Justin Baldoni claimed to speak to her late father
In another part of the lawsuit, Blake Lively alleged that Justin Baldoni "engaged in other behaviors that were shocking and emotionally distressing", including that he "claimed he could speak to the dead, and on several occasions told her that he had spoken to her dead father".
Lively, whose father Ernie died in 2021, described Baldoni's alleged behavior, in which he claimed to have a "personal relationship" with her "recently deceased" father, as "off putting and violative".
