Blake Lively fan claims 'paranoid' actress followed her to her car in disturbing hotel encounter

WACO, TEXAS: A fan has accused Blake Lively of following her outside to her car after they allegedly stayed at the same upscale hotel earlier this month.

The incident reportedly took place at The Hotel 1928 in Waco, Texas, where the actress was reportedly visiting Joanna Gaines.

Houston woman recalls surprise encounter with Blake Lively that turned viral  

Houston local Kaitlyn Cooper, 27, recounted her experience in an interview with the Daily Mail published on Monday, March 24.

Cooper and her mother were staying at the hotel on March 8 when they overheard from staff that a VIP guest was on the premises.

“We caught wind that there was a VIP staying at the hotel from the front desk people when we walked in,” Cooper shared.

“They were chatting with each other and there was just this energy in the air that something was going on,” she continued.

A staffer allegedly hinted that if they “stuck around,” they might “see the person.” This piqued Cooper’s curiosity.

During dinner, their server reportedly revealed that the VIP was none other than 'Gossip Girl' alum Blake Lively, who had just arrived from Austin after promoting her upcoming film 'Another Simple Favor' at the SXSW festival.

After dinner, Cooper and her mother relaxed in the hotel lounge, where they eventually spotted Blake Lively walking in.

Cooper, eager to document the moment, began filming Lively with her phone to show her friends. She filmed the actress for about 18 seconds.

She later posted the video on TikTok and wrote, “You’re welcome. Special thanks to the creator who decided to post it publicly without my permission @elsrich 🫶🏼 #blakelively.”

The footage, viewed by Daily Mail, shows Lively dressed in jeans and a white shirt, covering her face with her hand upon noticing the camera. She was escorted by hotel staff and a security guard.

“When she walked in [to the lobby], she was super loud. Her voice was extremely recognizable,” Cooper said. “I think she said hi to the two people at the front desk. She looked at us. I believe she spotted us [filming her].” 

Cooper assumed the interaction had ended, until the next morning, when she alleged that Lively approached her outside.

“We were loading up our car and I heard [someone say], ‘Hi,’ and it was a woman’s voice,” Cooper claimed.

“I looked up and saw [Lively]. She’s got her phone up [like she’s recording me]. Out of instinct, I just said ‘hi’ back, because what do you say?”

Cooper described feeling “disturbed” as she claimed Lively circled her car while filming and appeared to aim her camera at the license plate.

“I was really caught off guard,” she continued, before adding, “She then handed her phone off to her security guy, and he did another lap around the passenger side. Then they both went back in [to the hotel]. We were just confused about what was happening.”

Fan claims Blake Lively’s team monitored her social media

Cooper, reportedly shaken by the encounter, shared details of her alleged run-in with Blake Lively in videos posted to her Instagram Story.

Soon after, she noticed several “strange” accounts viewing her posts, including one belonging to a hotel employee and another from someone who appeared to be part of Lively’s team.

The Daily Mail reviewed screenshots of the accounts that had viewed Cooper’s Story, adding credibility to her claims.

“It’s very paranoid behavior,” Cooper said, speculating that Lively’s team was monitoring her social media activity. “[I think they were] looking out to see if I would post the video of her,” she added.
