Blanco Brown shares his optimism for the future

Speaking to ET at the award show in Austin, Texas, at the Moody Center on Sunday, April 7, Brown gave an update on his recovery.

"I feel better than I felt last year, so I think I'll keep on getting better with the years. I feel great," Brown told the outlet.

Brown, who is reflecting on his ongoing recovery journey, opened up on his commitment to maintaining his overall well-being.

"I already eat clean, so it's a blessing in that and that's a factor of life. But I try to make sure I keep my mental health that way. My body will follow," he said.

Inside Blanco Brown's 2020 near-fatal accident

Brown survived a near-fatal head-on collision in August 2020 in Atlanta, Georgia. The accident left him with severe injuries including two broken legs, a broken pelvis, and shattered wrists.

He was released from the hospital months later. The singer faced significant physical challenges as he suffered a mild issue with his legs. However, Brown eventually made a full recovery.

In 2021, the singer was feeling "blessed" after he returned to the stage at the 2021 ACM Awards following the accident.

"You pray that everything is going to go okay. And that you get through things. But if you've never been through anything so traumatic, you really don't know what to expect," Brown told People.

"So, in my mind, and at that moment, I'm thinking, 'Okay, I hurt. This is real bad. But by next weekend, it'll cool down,'" he said at the time.

Brown revealed to ET that while releasing his latest EP 'Heartache and Lemonade', he is set to launch his next project tentatively titled 'Walls and Whiskey'.

"The next EP I'm probably gonna name it 'Walls and Whiskey'," he shared.

"The title will speak for itself. I got a record on there from Diane Warren. I mean, the love continues to go on the record. I like working with people and making magic," Brown added.

"The EP, being in a lot of love is about as good as it gets, tailgating in the sun, sun-shining energy and I mean, we got more coming soon," the singer said of feeling the love he has for his project.
