Bobby Jean Carter: Aaron and Nick Carter's sister’s funeral to be held in Florida after sudden death at 41
LANCASTER, CALIFORNIA: The funeral of the sister of Aaron and Nick Carter will reportedly happen in Florida.
Bobby Jean Carter was 41 when she died on December 23. As per sources close to the family, she lost her life due to cardiac arrest, PEOPLE reported.
Jane Cater requests for prayers
Bobby’s 8-year-old daughter Bella has currently been living with her grandmother, Jane Carter, who told TMZ, “I am in shock from learning of the sudden death of my daughter, Bobbie Jean.”
She continued, “I will need time to process the terrible reality of this happening for the third time,” before stating, “When I am able to think clearly, I’ll release a fuller statement; but until then I would request to be left to grieve in private."
The devastated mother also mentioned her grandchild as she noted, “[H]owever deeply a parent feels the loss of a child, the suffering of a young child at the loss of a parent must be much greater.”
“So, I would ask the sympathetic to say a prayer for my precious eight-year-old granddaughter Bella, who previously lost her father and is now also left without her mother,” Jane added.
Bobby Jean Carter's death was the second in a year in the Carter family
Bobby’s sudden passing came over a year after her brother, Aaron Carter’s death. Aaron was 34 when he breathed his last on November 5, 2022.
He reportedly died by drowning because of being 'incapacitated while in the bathtub due to the effects of the drugs'.
‘Addiction and mental illness are the real villains’
The ‘That's How I Beat Shaq’ singer’s elder brother Nick was the first to share a statement at the time, which read, “My heart has been broken today. Even though my brother and I have had a complicated relationship, my love for him has never ever faded.”
“I have always held onto the hope that he would somehow, someday want to walk a healthy path and eventually find the help that he so desperately needed,” the 43-year-old singer said.
Nick added, “Sometimes we want to blame someone or something for a loss. But the truth is that addiction and mental illness are the real villain here. I will miss my brother more than anyone will ever know. I love you Chizz., now you get a chance to finally have some peace you could never find here on Earth….God, please take care of my baby brother."
