ST ANDREWS, SCOTLAND: Tom Holland has replied in affirmative when asked about his potential return for a fourth 'Spider-Man' film following the 2021 smash hit ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’.

Last weekend, Holland was present at the third annual Sands International Film Festival, where he opened up about his potential return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

While the 'Spider-Man' actor noted that his answer would always be “yes,” the only concern regarding the fourth installment is the film’s plotline.

The 27-year-old actor, who has been a beloved fixture in the Avengers Universe, has appeared in a good number of films for the franchise including his trilogy - ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ (2017), ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’ (2019) and ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ (2021).

When the Marvel actor was talking to Deadline during the Sands International Film Festival, he was asked about his potential return for the fourth 'Spider-Man' movie.

To that Holland replied, “The simple answer is that I’ll always want to do Spider-Man films,” before adding, “I owe my life and career to Spider-Man. So the simple answer is yes. I’ll always want to do more.”

Nevertheless, he accepted while his return is not the point of concern, the more worrying matter is the plotline, and how the makers will tread the subject without repeating the past themes.

He shared, “We have the best in the business working toward whatever the story might be. But until we’ve cracked it, we have a legacy to protect.”

Stressing that they need to do justice to ‘No Way Home’s’ ending, Holland added, “The third movie was so special in so many ways that we need to make sure we do the right thing.”

The ‘Uncharted’ actor further revealed that it was the first time he was involved in the creative process of the film, saying, “This is the first time in this process that I’ve been part of the creative so early.”

He explained, “It’s just a process where I’m watching and learning,” before adding, “It’s just a really fun stage for me. Like I said, everyone wants it to happen. But we want to make sure we’re not overdoing the same things.”

Fans are overjoyed with the news of Spider-Man 4

Fans were over the moon after learning about Tom Holland's involvement in the development of the fourth 'Spider-Man' film.

One of the readers commented on Facebook, "This is brilliant and wonderful news."

Someone else said, "He’s been my favorite spidey tbh - he was like born to play the role."

Referring to a proper storyline that should helm the fourth film, a fan suggested the introduction of Miles Morales in the storyline, saying, "Time for Miles Morales after this."

"Tom Holland joining the creative side of this film and really leaning into what makes a Spider-Man/Peter Parker responsible , is enough good news🤗," said someone else.

Another fan chimed in, "He is respecting the fandom over his career, very few people can do it."

Someone else suggested, "He could start a diary and read that off thru the movie. Only because he doesnt have anyone to talk to so he writes everything down so the narration thru the movie makes sense."

Another fan hailed Holland's association at the movie's script-writing process, saying, "If Tom Holland is getting creative input in Spider-Man 4 then I have absolute faith that it will be amazing. From what I heard he made some crucial decisions in NWH such as the ending which ended up being the biggest highlight of the film for me."

"If anything Spider-Man 4 has the potential to be his best project given the circumstances and the ending of no way home lol," commented another fan.

Another fan suggested, "He should just tell @Sony to not include MJ and Ned for the 4th film because it just makes the ending of no way home pointless."
