LUXEMBOURG: It’s a win for Brad Pitt after a contentious fight over a French vineyard he co-owned with his ex-wife Angelina Jolie.

In 2008, when the 60-year-old star and Jolie were together, they had reportedly bought the 1,300-acre Chateau Miraval estate.

Chateau Miraval estate was a major issue between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie

Pitt owned 60 percent of the property while the actress got 40 percent, but a few years later, the ‘Bullet Train’ star gave his 10 percent to Jolie, making both of them 50-50 partners.

However, after their 2016 split, the vineyard also became a bone of contention between the former pair. The issue escalated when the ‘Maleficent’ actress’ sold her share to Russian oligarch Yuri Shefler in 2021.

Brad Pitt accused Angelina Jolie of 'inflicting harm on' him

Pitt in his 2022 lawsuit alleged that the 48-year-old star “sold her interest with the knowledge and intention that Shefler and his affiliates would seek to control the business to which Pitt had devoted himself and to undermine Pitt’s investment in Miraval.”

The suit added, “Through the purported sale, Jolie sought to inflict harm on Pitt. Jolie knew and intended that Shefler and his affiliates would try to control the business Pitt had built and to undermine Pitt’s investment in Miraval.”

Now, a Luxembourg court Judge Carole Kerschen has ruled in Pitt’s favor and taken away Shefler’s rights over the vineyard, Daily Mail reported. The judge noted that it was important to finish the “blockage of decision”.

An insider said, “Brad has fought his corner every step of the way. Shefler and Angelina have clearly underestimated him.”

It has been said that for now, the court has given the shares to a court-appointed receiver. However, in a few years, a “merit hearing” will probably be held to decide if Pitt becomes the owner of the regained share.

Brad Pitt hopes to strengthen his relationship with his kids

This comes as another report said that Pitt is wishing to be on good terms with his three estranged children — 22-year-old Maddox, Pax, 20, and 18-year-old Zahara -- soon.

A tipster shared, as per OK! Magazine, “He’s holding out hope that they’ll eventually come around.”

The mole further stated that the ‘Fight Club’ actor was "anxious to move on and put the past behind him” while Jolie’s still “making jabs at him in the press, constantly talking about how she’s spent years healing from the pain he caused the family.”
