LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Brad Pitt might be open to working with Tom Cruise again, but only if the action happens closer to the ground.

The Hollywood star shared the one situation that would make him consider teaming up with Cruise after more than three decades.

Brad Pitt says he’ll work with Tom Cruise again in a film if it's ‘on the ground’

While promoting his upcoming film 'F1', Brad Pitt was asked if he would reunite with Tom Cruise for a movie. His response made it clear he isn’t keen on high-altitude stunts.

Pitt told E! News, "Well, I’m not gonna hang my a** off airplanes and s**t like that, so when he does something again that’s on the ground."

The actors last worked together in the 1994 gothic fantasy 'Interview with the Vampire'.

Director Joseph Kosinski, who helmed 'F1' and previously directed the Cruise-starrer 'Top Gun: Maverick', weighed in on the actors' different styles in a recent interview with GQ.

“Tom always pushes it to the limit, but at the same time is super capable and very skilled,” he said.

“They both have the natural talent for driving. But yeah, I could see Tom maybe scaring us a little bit more,” Kosinski added.

Joseph Kosinski also opened up about what it’s like working with Tom Cruise on stunt-heavy films.

“We’d have had a crash. Tom pushes it to the limit. I mean really to the limit. That terrifies me,” said Kosinski. “Whereas Brad listens and knows his abilities. He’s the first to say, ‘Yeah, I’m not going to do that.’”

Pitt’s upcoming racing drama 'F1' is scheduled for release on June 27. Meanwhile, Cruise continues to make headlines for his daredevil approach to moviemaking.

Tom Cruise has 'trained for 30 years' to perform the stunts he does

Tom Cruise has taken on extreme stunts in films, including his latest film 'Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning' and 2023’s 'Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One'.

In those, he performed scenes like hanging from an upside-down plane and driving a motorcycle off a cliff.

He previously said on 'The Graham Norton Show', “I feel that [when] acting you’re bringing everything, you know, physically and emotionally, to a character in a story.”

“And I’m able to do it [stunts], and I’ve trained for 30 years doing things like this that it allows us to put cameras in places where you normally are not able to," he added.

Fans react to Brad Pitt's condition for working with Tom Cruise again

Netizens seemed split on Brad Pitt’s condition to work with Tom Cruise, with many suggesting it was fair enough.

A fan wrote on X (formerly Twitter), “I think that’s fair,” while another said, “I would love that,” referring to the idea of Cruise working on ground-level action.

One user called Pitt’s response “fully hilarious,” while someone else added, “Brad Pitt knows he’s not as bad a** as Tom Cruise.”

One more expressed, "Cruise is just built different," whereas an individual quipped, "Brad said 'i don’t do parkour with my health insurance.'"

"F2 would be grounded. Tom can cruise on the roof of the race car, and then Brad can get out of the car and fight Tom in the pitt stop," another fan joked.
