LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Brad Pitt was relieved by the fact that it was a kiss and not a "punch in the face," according to an insider who revealed the 60-year-old's reaction to the bizarre incident to Daily Mail

In October, while the 'Troy' actor was shooting for his upcoming film 'F1' at the Mexican Grand Prix, an overzealous female fan grabbed him by the neck and kissed him on the cheek. The unidentified fan even tried to capture the moment on her phone.

Though Pitt remained unfazed by the sudden event, he tried to extricate himself from the fan's hold. That was when security intervened to normalize the situation.

Brad Pitt 'didn’t feel threatened' by the fan's impromptu move

Speaking to the outlet, the source, who is close to Brad Pitt, shared, "Brad is so relaxed and is never negative over positive fan interactions."

"While it may have caught him off guard, at the end of the day he is appreciative of his diehard adoring fans," noted the insider, before adding, "He didn’t feel threatened and didn’t have an issue with the exchange."

"At the end of the day a kiss on the cheek is sure a lot better than a punch in the face," concluded the tipster.

The video of Pitt's bizarre interaction with the fan was shared by ESPN Mexico on X (formerly Twitter), which has since garnered over 533,000 views and hundreds of comments.

In the Joseph Kosinski-directed film, Pitt essays the role of a retired race car driver Sonny Hayes, who comes out of retirement when a friend asks him to become a mentor.

Produced by Pitt, Formula 1 legend Lewis Hamilton, and Jerry Bruckheimer, the film also stars Javier Bardem, Kerry Condon, Damson Idris, Sarah Niles, and Tobias Menzies.

The film's official teaser premiered during the British Gand Prix, which Pitt attended with his girlfriend Ines de Ramon

Internet slam Brad Pitt's overzealous female fan over 'obnoxious behavior'

The Internet was left fuming with the identified woman who grabbed Brad Pitt by the neck and kissed him.

One netizen expressed, "Anyone actually look at her phone screen. She did all of that to only video her own face," and another added, "When a woman did the same thing to Bad Bunny, he grabbed her phone and tossed it. I don’t blame him. This behavior is obnoxious."

"Stop treating ppl like objects. He doesn’t deserve this," remarked a person, while someone else said, "Glad he didn't make a major scandal out of this. She was dedd wrong though."

One more wrote, "If he's training properly for the role he will have great neck muscles so hopefully he suffers nothing more than a bit of annoyance at being grabbed without warning."
