Brandi Glanville says 'parasites' in her face may be 'having babies' after spending $70K for treatment
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Reality television star Brandi Glanville has spent tens of thousands of dollars to find a cure for her facial disfigurement over the past year, People reported on Wednesday, December 11.
The 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' recently sat down for a candid interview with Entertainment Tonight where she opened up about her health struggles and spoke of her growing frustration with not getting an accurate diagnosis from medical professionals.
Brandi Glanville's medical journey
Brandi Glanville shared that her entire focus over the last couple of years has been to figure out her mysterious ailment, and giving up work over the extended period has added to her stress.
“Honestly, I have so many doctors and I’ve had so many tests. I did lab work for $10,000,” stated the 52-year-old. “They ran every test under the sun. They’re like, ‘It could be a parasite that’s new.’”
Her effort to get diagnosed took her to an immunologist, an infectious disease doctor, a rheumatologist, and an ENT. "They sent me to have my face checked — maybe old filler. So, that was all dissolved, even though I was like, ‘You’re dissolving my actual skin now because I haven’t had filler in a long time.'”
“I’ve had IV antibiotics at my house every day for six weeks,” she continued, adding that she has been on “everything you can think of" and spent “over $70,000” so far.
"With not working as well for the past two years, I’m stressed,” Glanville expressed. “I don’t socialize, I don’t go out and I’m just spending all of my money on trying to figure out what’s wrong with me.”
Brandi Glanville claims having a 'parasite' in her face
The celeb had previously claimed that some doctors suggested she might have a parasite in her face. She elaborated on the subject during the interview, stating that the issue might have stemmed from her time in Morocco while filming the 'Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip.'
“We had food sitting out for hours on end and some of it was meat,” said Glanville. “Six months after I got back from Morocco, I started having this speaking thing and the swelling up thing. It started in July and we’re still here trying to figure it out.”
She insisted that she could see and feel the "parasite" move within her face if she "messes with it", appearing as “tiny bubbles bursting” on her skin.
"I feel like it's s***ing or having babies in my face," she noted, desperately adding, "I’m not getting my hopes up anymore. This is a horrible thing to say but even if it’s like a tumor, I want to know. I want to have just an answer. That would be amazing.”
