Nicola Coughlan releases music
The idea behind Coughlan’s music is an interesting one as the song is not originating from exclusive verses - but rather - a clever concoction of her interview.
The ‘Derry Girls’ star - who is much loved as an LGBTQ+ icon - ventured into the project when music producer Ellis Miah sampled snippets of her interview from ‘Hits Radio UK’ and remixed the lines.
Coughlan will be donating the proceeds from the single to LGBTQ+ charities Not a Phase and The Trevor Project.

Not only is the prospect of the interview interesting but the subject of the song is quite at par with Coughlan’s amiable character.
The beloved actress said in teh interview, “You know, when the Real Housewives release pop songs just exclusively for gay men? That’s like my dream job.”
She continued in her signature humor, “'Cause they don’t even really sing, they just list things. They’re like, ‘Shoes, private yachts, caviar — more shoes.’”
While doing so, the actress was referencing ‘Real Housewives of New York City’ star Luann de Lesseps, who released a track titled, ‘Chic, C’est La Vie’.
In the song, the reality TV star similarly listed luxury items like “gems, jets … diamonds” and caviar, per Huffington Post.

Coughlan shared the track on her social media accounts, writing, “Like Lennon & McCartney, Dylan and the other great lyricists, I too wrote my first song by improvising some voice notes to @ellismiah in the 30 minutes I had before getting ready to go to Mighty Hoopla.”
The star wasn’t shy of thanking “the Queer Icons and Real Housewives” for inspiring her to make the song, and added, “I live for you. “ Coughlan concluded, saying, “Happy Pride.”
