Within a day of Timberlake's track release, Spears' 'Selfish' claimed the top spot on the iTunes Top Songs chart, surpassing Timberlake's new song in popularity, according to Variety. Timberlake introduced 'Selfish' on January 25, almost a week after teasing a snippet on his social media.
