In response, Britney took to Instagram with a lengthy post, also referencing actress Kate Beckinsale, who has faced similar criticism for her social media activity.

Britney praised Kate for standing up to her critics, writing, "It’s pretty bada-s of Kate to take on her critics." She noted that the negative comments on her own videos were unwarranted, especially those criticizing her for dancing at her age.

Britney pointed out that she doesn't post videos as frequently as implied, and concluded her post with a bold statement, "I’m gonna do a photoshoot with Kate and tell the Osbourne family, the most boring family known to mankind, to kindly f**k off."

Shortly after her response, Britney shared another dance video, reaffirming her commitment to being herself despite the criticism.

"Although I did post some of my best work with 'Ray of Light' and 'I’m Addicted' by Madonna!!! There were a lot of WTF moments!!! Trust me I know we’re all human and make mistakes!!!" Spears wrote alongside the dance video.

Spears, who separated from Sam Asghari in August 2023 after more than a year of marriage, expressed her commitment to personal growth and healing.

"I literally need to go back and adjust and possibly do a couple more therapy sessions," she continued in her Instagram post. "I apologize for not being perfect and I will try and get confidence and consistency back like I used to have!!!"

Spears and Asghari cited "irreconcilable differences" for their separation in August 2023, marking a significant personal transition for the pop icon.
