Britney Spears reveals she does weekly equine therapy to deal with past trauma in candid post

THOUSAND OAKS, CALIFORNIA: Britney Spears revealed in a candid Instagram post on Sunday, January 5, that she does weekly equine therapy due to her experience with past trauma.

The 'Toxic' singer, who recently gave her fans a glimpse of her reunion with her teen sons, also stirred up a storm before dancing in a sheer minidress and bikini, according to Daily Mail.

Britney Spears' latest post comes shortly after she spent the holidays with her children Jayden, 18, and Sean, 19. The pop icon was "blown away" by the surprise visit from her sons, per the outlet. 

On Sunday, she uploaded a black and white portrait of a man as well as a horse as she got candid about her mental health. The singer wrote, "I do equine therapy every Tuesday and Saturday because I've been so traumatized by people…"

While referring to the photo of the man, Spears added, "Not sure who is he, but if I ever imagined a person…" followed by top hat emojis. 

She concluded the post writing, "Pss I just posted this and saw it… it looks really funny. I can't stop laughing, but he's really hot."

Equine-assisted therapy "is a team effort where a mental health professional works with a horse specialist", according to WebMD​.

Clients who participate in equine-assisted therapy are usually seeking help for emotional or behavioral problems. Clients work with specially trained horses and learn about caring for them. 

Spears' 13-year conservatorship came to an end in November 2021 and she had earlier spoken about the trauma she experienced under the conservatorship. She also talked about undergoing therapy.

Back in 2023, she announced her memoir 'The Woman In Me' and shared on social media "My book is coming out very, very soon. I worked my a** off for this book." 

She added, "I had a lot of therapy to get this book done, so you guys better like it. If you don't like it, that's fine too."

Moreover, a source told Daily Mail in November 2024, "She will be healing from her trauma for a very long time. But she is done with men for now and focusing on herself."

Britney Spears plans to 'adopt a baby girl'

Britney Spears took to Instagram on January 3, Friday, to share her plans to expand her family. She announced alongside a now-deleted video of a little girl speaking, "I’ve decided I’m going to adopt a baby girl !!!! I’m actually serious !!!" according to OK Magazine.

She made the bold statement after a heartwarming holiday reunion with her youngest son, Jayden James Federline.

Spears, who shares Jayden and his older brother, Sean Preston, with ex-husband, Kevin Federline, has had a strained relationship with her sons since a public fallout in 2022, per the outlet.

However, Christmas 2024 brought a much-needed dose of joy in her life. She shared glimpses of their festive celebration and posted a video of Jayden opening presents by the glow of a Christmas tree.

In another post on December 31, she wrote, "Mine forever !!! It’s weird we’re like twins, but he’s a boy, and I’m a girl !!! He’s mine — I hadn’t seen him in 2 and a half years or maybe 3 !!! I’m in shock !!!"
