Britney Spears sparks concern as she pledges to 'never return to music industry' and makes Insta private
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'Toxic' singer Britney Spears looked stage-ready in a red sequined skirt and showcased her sense of style and rhythm in a post on her now-private Instagram account on Thursday, January 18.
With a caption reading "Just me," the Grammy-winning 42-year-old singer shared a video of herself dancing at her Southern California home with her 42.6 million followers.
Fans conjectured that Spears' recent deletion of her Instagram account was related to an earlier incident involving actor Brad Pitt and her ex-husband, Sam Asghari.
Britney Spears donned eye-catching long-sleeved sequined red skirt
The 'Oops!... I Did It Again' singer, who recently reactivated her account after deactivating it in the past, wore a striking long-sleeved red skirt with sequined details around the neck, chest, and skirt sections.
Spears flaunted her athletic agility in the daring attire, which included open-toed black sandal heels and wavy blonde hair split to one side, per Daily Mail.
The public failed to see the 'Toxic' singer's post for a long time because Spears immediately made her Instagram account private.

On January 3, Spears made headlines by declaring that she "will never return to the music industry." She also refuted two rumors that suggested she was working on her tenth album, for which she had recruited songwriters Julia Michaels and Charli XCX.
"Just so we're clear most of the news is trash!" Spears declared, drawing attention to rumors that she was "turning to random people to do a new album."
Spears appeared to be referring to reports from Page Six and The US Sun stating that she had started recording a new album, which would have been her first in eight years.
Britney Spears reactivates Instagram less than 24 hours after deactivating account
Spears had earlier deleted her Instagram account but reactivated it in less than one day in the wake of her bombshell memoir 'The Woman In Me' revelations - which details her past relationship with Justin Timberlake.
She posted a video of herself with the caption: "CLASSIC !!! I made this dress, no lie !!! It snapped in the back when I started shooting, OF COURSE !!! I’ve waited three years to wear it … have no idea why ??? HMMMM."
Her Instagram account was temporarily disabled amid shocking disclosures made public in passages from her latest autobiography.
Spears posted a long message regarding the attention her book was receiving shortly before deleting her Instagram page, per Daily Mail.
Britney Spears earlier deleted her Instagram after allegedly criticizing fans
Spears had earlier deleted her Instagram feed after reportedly calling out fans for greeting her in public in a somewhat strange caption.
In September 2023, the 'Toxic' hitmaker shared a new photo of herself with her 42.1 million Instagram fans. Wearing a small jeweled crop top and tight underwear, the singer uploaded a photo dump of herself in various dance stances.
She did, however, follow up with a lengthy post where she seemed to criticize people for approaching her in public, per Daily Mail.
Spears wrote in the caption: "When people say everywhere I go...'We missed you we missed you' I'm like so enthralled that I'm so relatable."
"You can speak to me even when you're not spoken to...because I CARE," the blonde beauty wrote, adding a middle finger emoji for good measure.
Spears concluded her remark with a proper peace sign emoji, saying, "I mean … should I not let you guys miss saying hi and disturb the peace."
Spears has subsequently deleted all content from her Instagram account. She has removed her account several times in 2023, including twice in June and the month after.
