VENTURA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA: Britney Spears reportedly threw her mother, Lynne Spears, under the bus after she was arrested for DUI in March. The ‘Princess of Pop’ was pulled over on March 4 after several people complained about her reckless driving to 911.

One person reportedly said on the call, “I’m reporting an erratic driving person. It almost sideswiped a couple of vehicles. It’s driving at high speeds. I’m worried they’re going to crash with somebody.”

Britney Spears says her mom killed someone, but she never did

Soon Spears was tracked down and stopped by the officers, who discovered an “empty wine glass in the cup holder between the front driver seat and passenger seat” and also noticed a “distinct odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting” from her car.

During her questioning, one of the officers told her she could have faced a murder charge if someone had died because of her reckless driving. To which the 44-year-old replied, “Yes, sir, I know. My mom accidentally killed a man on a bike ... but I never did that before.”

She also claimed that her mother had tried to take away her life, seemingly referring to her years-long conservatorship.

Lynne is actually responsible for taking the life of 12-year-old Anthony Winters, whom she hit while rushing her brother to a  Kentwood hospital in Louisiana. She’s mentioned it in her 2008 memoir 'Through the Storm'.

Britney Spears called herself an angel

This was not it, the ‘Toxic’ hitmaker behaved more bizarrely, showing signs of serious mood swings, during her interaction with the police.

When asked to measure herself “on a scale of zero to ten, with zero being completely sober, and ten being the most drunk she has ever been, where she would place her current level of intoxication. Spears placed her current level of intoxication at 'Zero’,” the police report stated.

She even claimed to the cops that she “could probably drink four bottles of wine and take care of you. I’m an angel.”

Britney Spears invited cops for lasagna

At one point during the interrogation, Spears even asked the officers to come to her house for some "lasagna".

This reportedly happened soon after she was pulled over. When cops asked her to come out, she resisted it saying she felt “invaded” and "harassed" by them. She even claimed that she has not "done anything wrong."

Her other weird explanation was too much traffic on the road, which was carefully handled by the cops, who told her “they can drive her up the road where it's less busy,” as per TMZ.

But Spears made another offer by inviting them to her house, which was nearby, for lasagna, and they could take a dip in her pool.
