Britney Spears and her estranged mother working toward mending their relationship: ‘Lynne is overjoyed’
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Britney Spears and her mother Lynne Spears are reportedly taking steps to fix their relationship, and it is being speculated that 2025 will bring them closer.
Spears’ relationship with her family members, especially her mother and father Jamie Spears, suffered when she was put under an extremely strict conservatorship in 2008. After the conservatorship ended in 2021, the ‘Oops!…I Did It Again’ hitmaker released her memoir, ‘The Woman in Me’, in which she accused her parents of taking her "womanhood".
A source shared, “Lynne has never given up hope, no matter how dark things got she prayed and kept the faith that Britney would let her back into her world and it does appear to have worked,” as reported by Life & Style.
Lynne Spears ‘convinced that she’s made real progress’ with Britney
They continued, “Britney has been softening towards her little by little and the word is she’s promised that they can take a trip together next year, somewhere nice and quiet just the two of them.”
The insider also noted that “Lynne is overjoyed but folks are telling her to temper it a little and keep her expectations realistic because Britney does tend to change her mind a lot, but Lynne won’t listen. She’s convinced that she’s made real progress.”
As per the tipster, things worked out well between the mother-daughter duo because the 69-year-old educator kept her approach towards the Princess of Pop “differently this past year”.
Britney Spears feels Lynne ‘respects’ her
Giving an example, they noted that though Lynne “wanted to call Britney and fly to her rescue,” she “waited for her to call” and it “worked well.”
“Now Britney feels her mom respects her and isn’t forcing things which she appreciates. Lynne dreams of a day when the whole family could come together but for now she’s focusing on one day at a time and just doing all she can to keep the door open with Britney,” the mole added.
Britney Spears was ‘speechless’ after meeting son Jayden
This came after the ‘Toxic’ singer reunited with her younger son, Jayden, 18, for Christmas.

Later in another post on December 30, Spears said, “Mine forever !!! It’s weird we’re like twins but he’s a boy and I’m a girl !!! He’s mine. I hadn't seen him in 2 and half years or maybe 3 !!! I’m in shock !!!”
