'My mom was involved': Britney Spears blames Lynne Spears for LA hotel incident that left ankle twisted

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Britney Spears, who twisted her ankle after an alleged fight with her boyfriend, has accused her estranged mother Lynne Spears of causing drama.

The ‘Toxic’ singer, 42, made a series of posts on Instagram on Thursday, May 2, where she addressed the incident. She was previously photographed leaving the hotel building wrapped up in a blanket.

In a short video uploaded on social media, the Grammy-winning songstress showed her fans her bruised ankle after an alleged fight with her on-and-off boyfriend Paul Soliz at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles, California.

Showing her swollen foot, the ‘Oops…I did it again’ songstress can be heard saying in the video, “I really twisted my ankle last night like an idiot — just to show proof.”

She continued to share her ordeals in self-deprecating humor, saying, “It’s so bad. F**king idiot here tries to do a leap in the living room of the Chateau and I fell — embarrassed myself — and that’s it.”

She continued, “Paramedics came to my door immediately. Of course, caused this huge scene, which was so unnecessary and all I needed was ice.

“It is actually pretty bad but s**t happens,” concluded the songstress.

In the second clip, the ‘Circus’ singer wasn’t as upbeat as the first. Comparing her swollen ankle with her non-injured foot, Britney seemingly started crying.

The songstress accompanied the posts with a fiery rant against her mother and appeared to have blamed her for her alleged involvement. 

She claimed, "I know my mom was involved !!!" before adding, “I haven’t talked to her in 6 months and she called right after it happened before the news being out.”

Britney continued, “I was set up just like she did way back when !!! I wish I had grandparents !!! I can’t stand her !!! I honestly don’t care I will say it 👍🏻🤷🏼‍♀️ !!!”

Nevertheless, it remains unclear why the Princess of Pop was blaming her mother. 

In the same post, the pop star, however, gave a shout-out to her lawyer Mathew Rosengart, and thanked him for his help.

Sharing a picture of the attorney, Britney wrote, “Psss this man is wonderful !!! He’s like a father to me and he got me through last night !!! I adore you and admire you mister Mathew !!!”

A source close to the ‘Toxic Pony’ singer shared with Page Six, “Britney had a rough night and big fight but she is incredibly resilient, despite the trauma she endured during the conservatorship.”

The outlet reported that first responders were called to her hotel room at around 1 am on Thursday night. Though Britney maintained that she twisted her foot while practicing a leap, sources shared that the first responders were called after an alleged fight with Soliz.

Britney previously shared a long post on Instagram and captioned it, “I also twisted my ankle last night and paramedics showed up at my door illegally. They never came in my room but I felt completely harassed.”

In the same post, she claimed the news of her mental breakdown was fake and added that she would be moving to Boston.

Britney Spears shares dance video

The popstar appeared to have recovered a little as later the same day, she shared a dance video on her Instagram. Wearing a blingy costume, Britney rocked a pair of knee-high cowboy boots as she showed off a few dance moves.

She accompanied the video with the caption, "Ok I’ve been messing around and I thought this costume was beautiful !!!"

Referring to her Las Vegas residency, she recalled, "I used to do shows in Vegas with two layers of tights on my legs !!! They never let me show my real legs !!! It felt kinda weird and idiotic with a costume on my living room !!!"

She continued, "Well Prince used to dress up in costumes everyday of his life in his house !!! He used to pick specific dancers to entertain him when he was bored !!! Useless information 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🙈🌷🙄🙄🙄⭐️⭐️⭐️🔑🔑📕 !!!"
