The following year, after Taylor Swift won four awards at the American Music Awards, Mahomes posted an angry face emoji with the comment, "Taylor Swift winning everything."
Although Brittany has since deleted the tweets, reports suggest that her new friend Taylor Swift was reportedly unhappy about the past comments.
After her comments about Taylor Swift, a source told Life & Style, "Taylor wasn't happy. She's used to people saying nasty things about her, but this was someone she's welcomed into her squad."
The source added, "Brittany explained to Taylor that she was just a stupid teenager and how sorry she was. Taylor was very understanding and decided to just let bygones be bygones."

Moore also noted that Brittany’s smile persisted even after she looked away, suggesting that her happiness was genuine.

Following Brittany and Patrick Mahomes' attendance at Taylor Swift's Eras Tour concert in Europe, it was confirmed that any past issues had been resolved.
On July 15, 2024, Brittany posted a photo on Instagram of herself hugging Swift, with Patrick and Travis Kelce in the background. In another picture, Swift is seen kissing the side of Brittany's head while hugging her.
