MALIBU, CALIFORNIA: Brooke Burke, the former host of 'Dancing With the Stars', has voiced her opinion on the ongoing Ozempic debate. 

Burke discussed the potential advantages and drawbacks of Ozempic in an interview with Fox News on March 17.

Brooke Burke's warning on the danger of misusing Ozempic

Highlighting the misuse of Ozempic for rapid weight loss, Burke warns against seeking shortcuts without a commitment to health and fitness.

“I can’t speak medically about it, but I do know that there’s so much information about what’s working and what’s not,” Burke said.

She added, “I think that Ozempic has some great benefits and I also think it has some dangers.”

For people seeking shortcuts, she said, “I think the lazy person that’s turning to a quick fix, for numbers on a scale...is gonna crash and burn,” the TV personality continued, adding “I think it’s super dangerous.”

She emphasized having boundaries, being disciplined, and understanding the value of muscle, weight training, and a nutritional plan, without these set boundaries she said it was going to bad impact.

"Somebody who can’t move the needle for whatever reasons it may be, diabetics, hormones, there’s a long list of them, that can work with a doctor under their care, manipulate the system, bring down glycemic levels,” she continued.

“I think it has some great benefits, but it requires a purposeful plan.” Burke insisted.

Burke suffers from three autoimmune diseases: vitiligo and inflammatory bowel disease as well as Hashimoto’s disease, a chronic autoimmune disorder that can cause hyperthyroidism.

Burke added, "I know how to biohack my system. I know what my body needs. I know about anti-inflammatory foods. I know about energy. I know about cellular repair."

Ozempic is a "big topic,” Burke said in the interview. She added, “It’s a mystery. It’s very misunderstood. And it’s also great for a lot of people, and then there’s a percentage of people that it’s not good for."

"You gotta partner up with your doctor in all areas. You gotta be a great patient. You have to have an intimate relationship with your practitioner," she further said.
