Brooke Hogan’s husband defends her amid family drama, says he can't allow anyone to hurt 'amazing person'

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Brooke Hogan’s husband, hockey player Steven Oleksy, has spoken out amid her ongoing family dispute.

His statement comes after Brooke’s mother, Linda Hogan, made claims about their estrangement, prompting Brooke to address the issue publicly.

Steven Oleksy says Brooke Hogan’s post was a response to 'false claims'

Steven Oleksy took to Instagram to support his wife, pushing back against accusations and highlighting the outpouring of encouragement they have received.

"While there is little need to defend the character of my wife or myself, I feel compelled to acknowledge and validate the outpouring of support we’ve received over the past few days," Oleksy wrote via Instagram on Saturday, March 29, Us Weekly reported.

He clarified that Brooke’s statement was not an attempt to gain sympathy but a direct response to allegations made about her.

"My wife’s post was not a plea for attention, sympathy or even support. It was simply a response to the false claims that had been made about her," added Oleksy.

Brooke had earlier denied Linda’s claim that they had not seen each other in eight years, stating that she and Oleksy visited her mother in 2023.

She also revealed that she had gone "no contact" with both her parents Hulk Hogan and Linda for separate reasons, explaining, "This decision was made based purely on how they have each dealt with me directly my entire life."

Brooke Hogan alleges childhood abuse affected her relationship with parents

Brooke Hogan also accused her parents, eventhough not naming or addressing them, of mistreatment, claiming that abuse in her childhood had impacted her relationship with them.

"I have been EXTREMELY verbally and mentally abused since childhood," Brooke stated, adding "Sadly, it would frequently turn physical. And sometimes it’s not by the person you would assume, abuse comes in all shapes and sizes."

Linda responded to Brooke’s allegations in a lengthy Facebook post, denying the claims and criticizing her daughter.

"Brooke is a narcissist just like her dad… going out… spewing lies to everyone and I’m supposed to defend my truth against that," she wrote.

She admitted to disciplining Brooke but denied serious abuse, stating, "I think I spanked Brooke once yeah I called her a couple of names, by no means ever treated her the way she’s painting it."

She also accused Brooke of physically harming her, alleging, "She was once so drunk she broke my collarbone and cut my lip and insisted everyone take her to the hospital because she was poisoned and she wasn’t." Linda further warned Brooke of legal consequences.

Brooke Hogan responded to her mother’s claims in another Instagram post on March 28, writing, "My post did not directly accuse anyone of the behaviors mentioned."

"So if she's triggered by something, I think that speaks volumes. She is however making a serious accusation against me directly that has zero validity. And THAT I take seriously," she said.

Oleksy reiterated his unwavering support for Brooke, adding that he would not allow anyone to hurt her.

"I cannot stand by and allow anyone to continue to hurt the most amazing person I am fortunate enough to call my wife," he wrote.

"She gives everything she has in all that she does, often leaving her own cup empty. Her actions are never driven by financial gain or desire for others to fill her cup, but rather by a relentless commitment to doing the right thing for the right reasons," he added.

Calling Brooke "the truest, most genuine person," Oleksy added, "She loves hard." He ended his message with a positive note: "Keep spreading peace, love and positivity."

Meanwhile, Hulk Hogan as reported by US Weekly, citing sources, “tells people he doesn’t specifically know why Brooke won’t speak to him.”
