Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz plan adoption as family tensions with David and Victoria escalate
LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM: Brooklyn Beckham,26, and his wife Nicola Peltz, 31, are reportedly planning to adopt their first child, according to sources. The couple’s decision comes amid ongoing tension with Brooklyn’s famous family, raising speculation about how the move could affect relationships at home.
The son of Sir David Beckham and Victoria Beckham has reportedly had multiple serious conversations with Nicola about adoption. The couple is said to want a large family, including at least one child who is not biologically theirs.
Couple prioritize adoption and giving back
A source told media outlets, “This is a subject Nicola and Brooklyn firmly align on. They both want a brood of children, and for at least one to be adopted.”
Both Brooklyn and Nicola are said to be conscious of their privileged upbringing and want to use it to provide a disadvantaged child with the best possible life. The source added, “They have talked extensively about it.”
Nicola’s current health and work schedule may also influence the timing. The actress reportedly dropped to 90 pounds for an upcoming role, making pregnancy unlikely in the near future. Adoption could allow the couple to move forward with their family plans without delay, even as it potentially deepens rifts with Brooklyn’s parents.
Brooklyn previously hinted at wanting children in a heartfelt six-page statement last month. He wrote about seeking peace and privacy with Nicola and building a family outside of media pressures. Nicola also revealed in a 2022 interview that they both want a large family, noting Brooklyn was eager to have children sooner than she was.
Family feud signs continue
The adoption plans emerge amid ongoing reports of tension between Brooklyn and his parents. Recently, Brooklyn appeared to cover up tattoos dedicated to his father and mother, fueling speculation about estrangement.
Nicola’s father, billionaire Nelson Peltz, briefly addressed the drama, calling Brooklyn and Nicola “great” and expressing hope for their “long, happy marriage,” but declined to comment further on the Beckham family issues.
