LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Blake Lively has shared her humorous take on the ongoing debate about Kate Middleton’s public absence.

Joining other celebrities, ‘The Town’ star posted on her Instagram a snap where she could be seen sitting beside a warped swimming pool in a warped chair.

Lively’s hands are not hers, and lemons and drink cans are plopped randomly in the image, reports DailyMail.

Earlier, comedian John Oliver joked that the Princess of Wales has been dead for 18 months. And Kim Kardashian also joined by posting an image and captioning, “On my way to go find Kate."

As per Sky News, Kate Middleton's name searches have risen from 2,800 a day before she posted the controversial Instagram post to 128,000.

Oliver earlier joked on his show, "There's a non-zero chance she died eighteen months ago. They might be Weekend at Bernie's-ing this situation. I'm not saying it happened!"

"I'm saying it's non-zero until proven otherwise. Until you see her with a copy of today's newspaper," he added.

Internet slams Blake Lively for poking fun at Kate while she recovers from serious surgery

Lively's joke did not land well on the Internet as many questioned the appropriateness of the post. “Ahem maam you photoshopped your whole face with surgeries did we complain? Its not nice to bully someone when they are already low, shame on you," one person commented.

Another wrote, “So disappointed. Imagine if this was you, recovering from surgery at home and people mocking you.”

“Oh bullying another woman!!! Especially a mother who is recovering from a major surgery..,Very classy act from you… Think about what your BFF sings about Karma…,” a user fumed, referring to Lively’s close friendship with Taylor Swift.

Fans were also furious at Hugh Jackman for joining the actress in joking about Kate.

‘The Wolverine’ star commented on Lively’s post, “Yessssss!!! Please send preorder link asap.”

A fan directly questioned Jackman, “@thehughjackman joining in on bullying a sick public figure who cant even recover in peace? Shame on you.”

Another said, “You should be better than this.”
