LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Women basketball sensation Caitlin Clark is sharing her most-talked-about ‘rivalry’ with Angel Reese.

The college basketball star was able to defeat her competition and managed to lift the NCAA championship weeks ago.

It was an interesting comeback from Clark’s Hawkeyes after losing to Reese’s Lady Tigers, 94-87, in the Elite Eight of the 2024 March Madness tournament.

“That’s the only thing people wanted to talk about when we just went on this magical run and united so many people, and that, like, was frustrating to me,” Clark told ESPN+ four-part series ‘Full Court Press'.

The rivalry was cemented after Angel Reese waved her hand in front of Clark’s face, referencing John Cena’s signature gesture, “You can’t see me” during LSU's win over Iowa in the 2023 title game, reported the New York Post.

Clark played down by saying later, that she “was just trying to get to the handshake line and shake hands and be grateful that my team was in that position.”

Reese, who was criticized by many for her gesture clarified, “I don’t think people realize it’s not personal,” at the time.

“Once we get out between those lines, if I see you walking down the street, it’s like, ‘Hey, girl, what’s up? Let’s hang out.’ I think people just take it like we hate each other. Me and Caitlin Clark don’t hate each other,” Reese explained.

The LSU star further said, “That’s fine. I’ll take the villain role. I’ll take the hit for it, but I know we’re growing women’s basketball. If this is the way we’re going to do it, then this is the way we’re going to do it. You either like it or you don’t.”

Internet reacted to Caitlin Clark on 'rivalry' with Angel Reese

Netizens weighed in on which athlete was better among the two. A user on X said, "Caitlin Clark don’t got a ring yet let’s slow down."

"Crazy take. Reese is awesome and was dominating this game before she hurt her ankle," wrote another. "Absolutely-it’s not even close," wrote a Caitlin fan.

"LSU sucks, they surrendered before game started," one user slammed Angel's team.
