Cardi B's alleged assault victim needed plastic surgery after attack in which rapper was 'not injured'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The trouble for Cardi B has increased after a female security guard who claims the rapper physically assaulted her filed a new motion against her.
The plaintiff, Emani Ellis, claimed, “[Cardi] was the aggressor and attacked [Ellis] while she was employed as a security guard. The defendant was not injured in this incident.” The ex-security guard also accused Cardi B of using her influence to get her fired, Radar Online reports. The hearing for the February 2018 incident is scheduled for May.
Cardi B allegedly used her 'celebrity status' to get her victim fired
According to the court documents, “Defendant's intention was to cause injuries to Plaintiff so she could not return to work. Defendant even used her celebrity status to get Plaintiff fired from her post as a security guard,” she said.
The filing says, “Defendant by threats, coercion, intimidation, physical force including assault & battery, prevented Plaintiff from returning to work as a security guard, which was something she had a right to do under the law."
Ellis alleges that the ‘Bodak Yellow’ singer did “everything in her power” to strong-arm her lawyers to delay the trial at any cost. “This was a very serious incident that occurred on February 24, 2018, which has scarred Plaintiff for the rest of her life not only because of the assault & battery but also because of the betrayal by Defendant,” the filing mentioned.
In court documents, Ellis claimed Cardi used her “long fingernails” causing Ellis to “sustain facial injuries” that required plastic surgery.
Cardi B claimed her action was in self-defense, accusing Ellis of provoking the acts “which she now complains.”
Where did the alleged assault take place?
It is reported that the rapper was pregnant with her daughter Kulture at the time of the incident. Moreover, Cardi hasn’t settled her battle with Tasha K over $4 million, where the blogger has to pay the rapper over the defamation case.
The alleged incident took place at the Beverly Hills office building, and she approached the artist after noticing her coming out of a doctor’s office.
