Catherine McBroom says ‘I feel liberated’ following divorce from Austin McBroom after 7 years of unhappy marriage

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Catherine McBroom, 33, has announced her divorce from Austin McBroom, 31, the co-founder of the popular YouTube channel 'The ACE Family.'

The couple, who have been married for nearly seven years and have three children together, shared their decision on social media on January 11.

Catherine McBroom says she felt losing herself in the marriage 

Catherine revealed that she felt “liberated” after leaving her marriage which had been draining her happiness.

“As I start my new year, I will challenge myself in ways that I have never done before,” she wrote on Instagram.

“2024 will be my year of transformative change and with this taking place, one of the steps in my journey is the difficult decision to leave my marriage," she added in the post.

She further said that the split was mutual and respectful and that she still cared for Austin and their children.

“As heartbreaking as this is, I also feel liberated. I have spent the past few years prioritizing my children and honoring my commitment to my family; all the while I seemed to be losing myself and my own personal happiness," she wrote.

Austin confirmed the divorce and thanked their fans for their support

Austin, who has over 18 million followers on YouTube with his family-oriented videos, also confirmed the divorce on his own account.

He posted a picture with Catherine and said that they had agreed to end their marriage but would remain a team for their children, E! News reports. 

“We created one of the greatest stories, almost a decade together, so many memories, so many accomplishments but every book comes to end. And now we will be writing a new book as separate authors," he wrote.

He assured his fans that he and Catherine would continue to be the best parents to their daughters Elle, seven, Alaia, five, and son Steel, three.

“This transition is not easy but we both are making it as easy as it can be for our family,” he said.

“We will continue to be the best parents to our kids. Separations are difficult and most times messy but you will see how we push through these difficult times as a unit and keep influencing with love and positivity," he added.

The ACE Family is one of the most successful YouTube channels with over 18 million subscribers and billions of views.

The channel features videos of challenges and pranks as well as family vlogs featuring their three children.

The couple has also collaborated with other celebrities and influencers, such as Kylie Jenner, James Charles, and Logan Paul.

The McBrooms started their YouTube channel back in 2016, and have since amassed a loyal fan base and a lucrative business.

They have also faced some controversies and scandals, such as accusations of cheating, fraud, and mistreatment of their children.
