LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Pop singing legend Celine Dion rebuked former President and GOP nominee Donald Trump's campaign for using her iconic theme song from the 'Titanic' as a musical interlude during a rally at Bozeman, Montana, on Friday, August 9.

According to The Guardian, the Trump campaign played a video clip of the emotionally charged song on stage, leading to a strong response from the Canadian singer on social media.

Celine Dion's tweet on unauthorized usage of her song

Celine Dion published a statement on the social media platforms X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram, stating, "Today, Celine Dion’s management team and her record label, Sony Music Entertainment Canada Inc, became aware of the unauthorized usage of the video, recording, musical performance, and likeness of Celine Dion singing 'My Heart Will Go On' at a Donald Trump / JD Vance campaign rally in Montana."

"In no way is this use authorized, and Celine Dion does not endorse this or any similar use," she continued, before adding a snide remark, "… And really, THAT song?”

'My Heart Will Go On' featured as the theme of James Cameron's 1997 Oscar-winning film about the 1912 shipwreck. It is considered to be one of Dion's signature songs and brought her multiple accolades, including the Academy Award, Grammy Award, Golden Globe, Billboard Music Award, and many more.

Internet trolls Donald Trump after Celine Dion's post

The statement by Celine Dion on X went viral and resulted in numerous hilarious takes from users mocking the former president. The following examples demonstrate the prevalent mood.

"Celine Dion smacking down MAGA is just amazing," wrote a user.

"Get 'em, Queen🤣" cheered another.

"This is the meaning 🤣" jibed a third with a meme of Trump and Vance on 'Titanic.'

"Thank you. On the other hand, Trump’s campaign is the Titanic," memed another.

"I hope she sues Trump and RNC. But I have to say using the 'Titanic' theme song for the Trump campaign is very appropriate for this sinking political campaign," chided a fifth.

"We really have to ask ourselves if the Trump campaign can…go on…after this slaying by Tweet," quipped a sixth.

"Well it was very appropriate," another shared with a meme.

"Trump ended by Celine Dion," noted yet another, with a gif.
