BERGEN COUNTY, NEW JERSEY: Radio host Charlamagne tha God publicly criticized President Donald Trump on Monday, March 23, over his post about the death of former FBI Director Robert Mueller

Charlamagne warned that Trump’s comments about Mueller could shape how people remember the president, even after his own death. Mueller died at the age of 81 following a years‑long battle with Parkinson’s disease.

Charlamagne tha God says Trump has 'already ruined' his legacy

On the radio show 'The Breakfast Club', Charlamagne tha God reacted strongly to a social media post by Donald Trump regarding the death of Robert Mueller. In a Truth Social post, Trump had written, “Good, I’m glad he’s dead. He can no longer hurt innocent people!”

In response, Charlamagne said, "As a special investigator, Robert Mueller investigated Trump in 2016 during his first term as head of the Russian investigations in his election campaign. Ah, Trump didn't like Robert Mueller. I didn't expect him to say something nice about Robert Mueller after his death."

He went on to address the post, "That's a remarkable statement for everyone, especially for a president of the United States."

Charlamagne further said, "Listen, he still has the same energy. If he didn't like you when you were alive, he won't understand that when you're dead. I understand that, but here's the point. I don't have to tell you everything that everyone else has already told you that this is not presidential."

He also mocked Trump, saying, "I hate it when people say, Trump is not presidential. Why should he be? He is the former executive producer of 'Celebrity Apprentice.'"

Charlamagne then stated, "I mean, you’ve already ruined yours because you’re, you know, going to go down as the worst president of all time because you don’t give a damn about democracy, and on pace to lead this country into the worst financial crisis of all time."

He concluded by issuing a warning, "But you are also putting yourself into a position that when you pass, people are going to treat it like Mardi Gras in New Orleans."

White House responds to Charlamagne tha God's comments

White House spokesperson Davis R Ingle pointed to a past Truth Social post in which Donald Trump called out Charlamagne tha God over his comments on his presidency.

Trump had written, "He’s a low-IQ individual, has no idea what words are coming out of his mouth, and knows nothing about me or what I have done - like just ending 5 Wars, including a 31 year bloodbath between Republic of the Congo and Rwanda, where Seven Million people have died, and there was no end in sight."

He continued, "He didn’t know that, or India and Pakistan or, wiping out Iran’s nuclear capabilities, or closing the horrendous open Border, or creating the greatest economy, where prices and Inflation have come way down, and where STUPID and CORRUPT JOE BIDEN set the record for doing the Worst Job as President, EVER."

Mueller served as FBI director from 2001 to 2013 and later as special counsel investigating Russian interference in the 2016 US election, an investigation that overshadowed much of Trump’s first term.

Mueller’s work included charges against several Trump associates during the probe into Russia’s involvement in that election. His final report detailed extensive contacts between the Trump campaign and Russian individuals but did not establish a criminal conspiracy.
