Chelsea Handler mocks Spencer Pratt’s run for LA mayor: ‘Need you to jump over it’

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Chelsea Handler has mocked Spencer Pratt and his run for Los Angeles mayor, asking the American people to “jump over it”.

The comedian’s slamming of the 42-year-old was also a subtle dig at President Donald Trump and his political career.

In a video posted on her Instagram account on Friday, May 15, Handler said, “If you’re seeing this video, this is a reminder that a straight, White male former reality star that has no previous experience in government should not be a legitimate political candidate.”

The online clip then shows a photo of Trump as the 51-year-old actress added, “Have we learned anything yet? The bar is on the f******g floor, people, and I need you to jump over it.”

Handler was seemingly referring to Trump’s own reality TV career, where he served as the host of ‘The Apprentice’ for its first 14 seasons. Also, before joining politics, the Republican leader was a businessman.

But ‘The Chelsea Handler Show’ star’s take on Pratt has not been liked by people online.

“What a compliment — did she just compare Spencer to Donald? Let’s hope he wins and does as well for our country. The bar for mayor is already on the floor and on fire — let’s see if we can raise it back up again,” a supporter of Trump and Pratt commented on X.

Another critic of Handler said, “Is this person Chelsea Handler? Who is Chelsea Handler? Why should I care what she thinks?”

“Straight white males built this world. Can’t wait for this delusional feminist bulls**t to run its course,” a comment read.

“She has no experience either. Based on her argument, she shouldn't be telling anyone who to vote for. Either she doesn't believe what she is saying or she lacks the intellect to realize the massive levels of hypocrisy. Option 2 is most likely,” one person on the online site stated.

“@chelseahandler you think experience in government makes someone qualified? Have been in LA or California outside your bubble? LA is becoming a cesspool & you're apparently good with it. Well, the average citizens who have to live in the filth aren't. @spencerpratt to the rescue,” a comment added.

In addition, Pratt also fired back at Handler by sharing a video of comedian Shane Gillis roasting her and saying, “Chelsea Handler went to dinner at Jeffrey Epstein‘s house in 2010.”

The TV personality captioned the post as “Most of you have probably never heard of Chelsea Handler, so here’s an introduction!”
