Cher says she's 'proud' of Alexander ‘AE’ Edwards for not starting the fight with Travis Scott at Cannes

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Cher has nothing but praise for her boyfriend Alexander 'AE' Edwards.

The ‘Goddess of Pop’ has finally broken her silence over Alexander ‘AE’ Edwards and Travis Scott's fight in Cannes.

The ‘Bang Bang’ crooner tweeted on Saturday, June 1, "I’m Proud of Alexander. He Didn’t Start The fight. Against 2 Men,… He finished it, Gotta Love Him.”

The viral video of the altercation showed a few men taking shots at each other as drinks were seen flying all over the place. Several models tried to escape the fight scene as security personnel intervened. 

A source told PageSix, “Models were flying everywhere in the melee. Someone got hit with an ice bucket.”

Another insider told the outlet that host Richie Akiva took the mic to give a shout out to Tyga and Edwards. "We got T-Raww and A.E” in the house," Akiva said.

However, it didn't go well with Scott and he allegedly snatched the mic out of the party host’s hand. At the time, Edwards told the ‘Fein’ crooner, “Let him show love.”

“Travis was the aggressor. He and his team were being neurotic, erratic and crazy. He was there looking for a fight with anyone to be honest,” a source claimed.

An insider clarified that the fight wasn’t about Kylie Jenner. “The history is there [but] it’s not like that’s necessarily what was the cause [of this fight],” the insider claimed. 

A source further revealed that Scott got so furious at one point that he threatened Tyga’s security saying, “Y’all [N-word] wanna die?”

Days after the fight, TMZ reported that Edwards feels Cher supports him unconditionally, regardless of the circumstances.

According to People, Edwards quoted lyrics from Future and Metro Boomin's "GTA" to affirm that everything is fine between him and Cher.

He stated, "Like future says, ‘Whatever I’m with, my woman's with it, too.'"

The rapper then explained his choice of words, stating, “My woman, but the lyrics are the lyrics.”
