LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Chester Bennington’s son Jaime claimed that he is getting death threats.

On September 9, he openly slammed the Linkin Park band for hiring Emily Armstrong as a lead singer and called out founder Mike Shinoda for “quietly erasing my father’s life and legacy in real time.”

What did Jaime Bennington say about his safety?

This didn’t go well with a few Linkin Park’s fans. “All these people come over to me and go, ‘You don’t know what your dad would think,'” Jaime shared over his Instagram Stories.

He added, “You’re coming over to my posts and my livestreams and telling me to kill myself, that I’m awful, that my father doesn’t appreciate me. What are you talking about? You didn’t give a fuck when he died. If you did, you would understand what the problem is. You would understand why this is all wrong. I do because I’m his kid.”

In the following story, Jaime addressed Linkin Park fans. “While attending the show please do not harass me or my partner. Respectfully, we are attending for closure,” he said, according to TMZ.

“If anything happens to me or my partner while we are attending this concert, it is on Linkin Park,” he concluded.

Linkin Park is all set to launch new music since Chester’s death in 2017. The new album and a supporting tour is dubbed “From Zero.” Moreover, the band will be playing a show in Los Angeles on September 11, which Jamie wants to attend.

Jaime Bennington blasts Linkin Park for having Emily Armstrong as lead singer

Jaime Bennington earlier reacted on Emily Armstrong’s inclusion in the band. “You quietly erase[d] my father’s life and legacy in real time," he said during international suicide prevention month and refused to acknowledge the impact of hiring someone like Emily without so much as a clarifying statement on the variety of victims that make up core fan base, reports Billboard.

“You betrayed the trust loaned to you by decades of fans and supporting human beings including myself. We trusted you to be the bigger, better person. To be the change. Because you promised us that was your intention. Now you’re just senile and tone deaf,” he further said.

Chester Bennington died by suicide on July 20, 2017, aged 41.
